  1. Johnny Harris seems to rush to dismiss Socialism, he does not even have the courage to entertain different way of thinkings. He’s obviously from the USA, where Socialism is so deeply stigmatized, like a taboo, only America has such an unhealthy fear toward Socialism. Americans are so deeply doctrinated,, very sad.

Many social programs in US are Socialist programs that were implemented by Roosevelt. Any system is hijacked and bound by its name, this *ism or that *ism, it would eventually fail with its rigidity, such system is no longer a living, self correcting system. Real smart system is whatever works for their majority of people, instead being narrowly stubbornly and rigidly practiced and defined. A system without reform, introspection and adaptability would eventually fail, like US is so bent on propagating it’s system is the only system works, it’s arrogant and ignorant. It’s a shame Johnny and you are still trying to promote a system steered by ultimate greed and inhumanity that suffered most Americans, still being so stubborn without fundamental introspection, stubbornly holding onto your old glory that no longer works for its people. The reason American Capitalism surged and worked for a short period in its history is because of WW2, its the right time, right moment, right geopolitical circumstances that helped to create a mirage as if this is the only prescription to all problems, but as time moves on, its no longer the only prescription you try to glorify and sell to others, because America freeDUMB and demoCRAZ, and it’s totally corrupt Capitalism can no longer fool the world with its fancy rhetorics. Look at what America do, not what America say. Johnny’s view and presentation in this episode is oversimplified, he did not delve further in depth because he does not understand China or even a scrap of Socialism at all, he is still accessing his knowledge and information from his western and American centric perspective. No one talks about how much emission was output since western industrial revolution, until China got onboard connecting the world with trades and open doors, listen to the western media and campaign, they couldn’t wait to paint China as the ‘biggest polluter’. Lots of pollutions emitted from China are exports which are consumed by other countries, US is still the biggest polluter per capita. China understand the environmental price it pays for developments, same price were paid in many western industrialized countries in 19/20 centuries. But China did not wait like US is still fighting within its parties, China’s green initiative dwarfs US’a Green New Deal.   3. For those who absolutely dismiss or stigmatize any social program, you are either willful ignorant, or you are a paid troll spreading misinformation without any substantial logical dialogue. If you so despise Socialism, then please make sure you don’t take any government benefits, oh by the way, don’t expect your mail to be delivered to you free, and pay your own education from first grade one.   4. It’s absurd Johnny seems to forget how much emission the west has emitted since the rise of industrialization which China has mostly missed out. Also since China opened door to trade and become the world industrial center, a lot of emission China generated in China are for exports, which are consumed by other countries. The biggest difference on Capitalism between China and US is, American corporations and industries control the government by lobbying, so all policies are made to benefit powerful corporation and industry. But in China, government control and regulate powerful corporations and industries, they will not allow powerful business to obstruct functions of society. For example, the recent case of Jack Ma’s Ant Group IPO was halted by Beijing, if the IPO were passed, it would have great potential in creating another financial crisis like in 2008 US financial melt down. China’s green energy and plans are so much more advanced and ambitious than in US. China’s green projects dwarfed US’s Green New Deal.

At the end of day.what most people care about is an improving quality of life, peace and prosperity, China’s government is delivering positive results to the people, and over 90% of the people of PRC approved the leadership of Chinese government and feel optimistic about their future, where in US, less than half of the people 40% approved its government performance for the people. At the end of day, no one gives a crap about this *ism or that *ism, ‘’good governance’ is what matters. Americans from politicians, medias, down to its people are obsessed with ‘ideologies’ extremely opinionated, they have all the loud mouths and yet can’t deliver good result for its people, you should put more energy and time on improving yourself, instead of criticizing other people or other systems, maybe you will find your life more fulfilling.

  6.  @malachaiuys711  I don’t get caught up in the definition of this *ism or that *ism, as long as the end results of good governance benefit majority of the people and quality of life and societies, it’s good system, economically and politically. A good system is constantly adjusting, evolving, reforming and improving for the need of a collective societies, not for the greed of small group of people. China halted the IPO by Jack Ma’s Ants Group, in the effort to prevent the potential financial melt down like what happened in US in 2008, that resulted mass average people suffer from financial crisis, yet the top rich got bailed out, I’m sure the memory of that horrible financial crisis is fresh for many Americans and people around the world. Chinese system has the mechanism to oversee and prevent such type of reckless Capitalism, it’s a system that does not allow big corporations or industries overrun its government and society.

  10.  @malachaiuys711  All the theocratical system of *ism have to be put to test in experiments and then materialized practice, many people put too much emotion and romanticize or demonize a theoretical ideologies. What really matters is the process and end results. The west, especially America love tossing around this *ism that *ism, and don’t deliver relative results, it’s more like promoting fancy sound good rhetorics to riot up people’s emotion without much substance. There is no one size fits all system, they all become synthesized when practiced by people with different culture, historic and geopolitical background. For example, the Buddhism in China is different from the Buddhism originated from India, therefore same with Socialism and other *ism. Any theoretical *ism has to be an organic and living mechanism to continue adapt, evolve and reformed over time, that would be a more sustainable and resilient system.
