  1. I don't think that ET (or whoever) ever interacted with humanity but it is rank arrogance for anyone to assume that we're the only intelligence in the universe! Certainly we /may/ be, which really is scary, but it's vastly more likely that we're not by a long way. But, and perhaps oddly, I find that thought rather comforting.
