  1. Honestly I'm unsure about DeSantis as well. The red flag support is one (not good) thing but it's a bit more than that: He won the state only by the grace of a Trump endorsement by about .2% in a state that was no longer a swing state but a leans red state, any dialogue or action he commits to is going to be far easier to fend off opposition from in Florida based on the current political trend there alone; he takes on Florida bills proposed by others as his own and then grandstands in front of the media about it; any Governor can make a easy point to politically grandstand and challenge Biden for clout if they know their position as Governor is safe (it's a lot harder to do this on the national level) and the average person falls for the big show, even if in the end it holds little actual meaning; he has no serious political threats within the state so the hurdles he has to cross really aren't as big as they seem; he has a congressional history of voting for Obamacare; popularity in Florida does not equate to popularity nationwide or (more specifically) in a national election; his political career began years before Maga became a thing which means it's rooted in the Old guard neocons to some extent; his name only got big after a trump endorsement and a narrow win and other than that he's been a standard GOP member before that. To me these are red flags, as in politics no one changes that quick. Granted I don't want my suspicions to be true but they've not gone away. I also think based on this he would not be as strong a candidate as he appears. In the current position he's in in the current state he's in most of the challenges he's faced have been light and comparison to Trump's challenges as president. Easy wins. My chain of preference for the presidency has changed as such and is now: 1. Trump 2. Paul 3. Lake 4. DeSantis
