This. Even with a Trump 2024 victory there is still plenty of work to be done. Even if it doesn't occur (which I don't think there's a way in hell it can't at least in the legitimate sense and they'd have to honk five times harder this time around and it would be way too obvious) that work you mention still needs done. We also need more organizers for the Convention of States movement. 19 out of 34 states to trigger an article 5 convention so far. I'd like more people to get on board. The right-wing can be effective at activism too.

A system panicking this bad doesn't do so if it has an absolute guarantee of preventing what it fears the most. It knows it has a shot but not a hundred percent. I half wonder if they know it's a 50/50.

I've noticed this quite a bit in regular life. Especially among independents like me at work and in my general circle. It's not a total reversal among Independents but it is definitely a very significant one. I think for independent voters it's about a 50/50 as of this moment. They push any harder and he might actually end up getting the majority.

I think he would avoid an actual outright purge with blood if that's what you mean. I think he is more likely to give them a good thrashing and fire a bunch of people. He's not like them. He's not willing to potentially kill his adversaries.

Speaking on behalf of Independents I would say at least half of us are upset to the extreme right now. TDS is not nearly as large outside of social media and certain kinds of social circles. At best it's true hardcore numbers are probably a quarter of the population and if you were to go broadly maybe a third.

And how constitutionally would you have expected him to hang onto the reins if he does not want to be a tyrant? The god emperor was only ever supposed to be a meme but for some reason people took it seriously. Not to mention he never had a firm grasp of the reins anyway because his own party obstructed the whole time as well as another. Most of his victories come from himself alone pushing through it. They wouldn't be panicking this hard if it wasn't at least a chance. It's probably not more than 50-50 but it is existent.

 @hello-cn5nh I wouldn't say that but I would say he's probably the second best in the field right now. It's a shame he is not yet viable but I think he might be in a cycle or two.

I would say there's always hope and time for that. Most of the people who woke up to it between 2016 and 2020 were either asleep or slowly coming to the realization of it for 20 to 30 years.

I don't think he's a pure of either. He sort of a right mixed with center-right hodgepodge. Definitely Civic nationalism; puts ome stock in traditionalism but not a hardcore part of his platform. If you want a large tent platform like he has you can't simply stick to one of the other. You have to sort of try to meld parts of them.

@norsewarlock8331 fortunately it seems that he has learned from that mistake. When a lot of his base took a good smack at him for it he shut up about it. He's not perfect but he is a populist-- if he sees that his core base is not happy about something he will avoid that issue like the plague in the future. In the end it was his own federal court picks that shot it down.

I wouldn't say all hope is lost but I would say that it is definitely stalled for 4 years. Hope is never truly lost. Not for anyone willing to whether some really bad times anyways. What they want you to do is lose hope. They get off on that stuff.

But will it be enough? They hope they can outdo themselves by about 5 times if that's the case. I think they're panicking so bad because they realize their chances are actually 50/50 on being able to pull a 2020 again.

I didn't even realize Bret baier was still a thing. I doubt he hurt himself massively at all, but even if he did the audience was probably so minuscule hits not even registering with most people. Baier couldn't bring in a large audience with 50 Trumps.

@Ddeamorin to be fair I don't think they would approve of any modern political figure. However among them I think they would approve of him more than most. Definitely they would approve of him more than any modern president.

@m.hughmungus121 Russian mercenaries in Syria. Russia got in line quick after that. After which nothing more was needed. The Syrian government didn't seem to care much.

@noquarteratall780 nor would they have. He was never an authoritarian. He had more respect for the Constitution and the law than the last several presidents. From J6 onward to the end of his term he was effectively in house arrest as well. I don't know how much plainer it can be explained.

Oscillating is fine. That is pretty typical for the white pill. What you don't want is to black pill and stay there. Always remember: the purpose of propaganda is black pills. It is meant for you more than anybody else. They want you to feel like this.

@rahn45 as his private security outnumbers his own secret service two to one, I think that would be a lot harder than it would have been in the case of JFK. Again- not a guarantee. I also suspect Trump knows that this is something they might try so they're going to be extra prepared. Should they attempt it and fail all hell breaks loose and there is absolutely no way they can simply take it back. If they attempt and fail there is no stopping him even through cheating in 2024. Every assassination attempt is a calculated risk. I think they are more likely to try to assassinate him after a victory, tbh.

They don't expect to let him have it. The problem is they don't have a guarantee they can keep him from it which is why you're getting all of this now hardcore. Their odds are probably a 50/50 thanks to Joe's abysmal performance on top of everything else going down. They know this. With a bunch of private security I don't even think they have a guarantee at a 100% chance of assassination should they try it. Of course they aren't going to let him the question is how much can they really do to stop him if he has the ability to potentially pull it off?

If you have to indict your opponent, you think you might potentially have problems stuffing them. Given Biden's performance I could definitely see that being a possibility. Honking works when it's close and only when it's close. The question is will it be? Biden is increasingly making it possible that it will not be close. Presidents don't stuffed ballot boxes anyway. Those are counties in certain States. Six counties as a matter of fact.
