But I will tell you that Florida is not the country and the average Floridian is not like the average American elsewhere. It is no longer a swing state. It is no longer the American median. If you want the swing, voters and independent voters, your best bet is to go with what goes for people in general instead of one location. I'm not knocking your support or your neighbors for DeSantis. Your choice is your choice and I will respect that. What I am saying is that he is going to alienate people that Trump's big tent is going to bring over. Better to Make America Great Again than Make America Florida, when with respect to Florida, not all of us want to be Florida. Right now here in Missouri, as a few months ago I have a freer standard of speech when before I was on Florida's level. I have no interest in Missouri being Florida. The people of New Hampshire and Arizona have no interest in being Florida. Floridians have interest in being Florida.

  5. I think that is done, man. You at least want your first presidential run to come off strong if you expect to be able to be viable in the next run for a primary. As for him, backing out, now would make him seen even weaker, and half of his own base would hate him for stringing them along.

I'm not going to say he doesn't have a 2028 shot for sure, but he is now in a position where Kari Lake could best him potentially in 2028. If Ramswamy does well this time around, perhaps even by him.. I don't think DeSantis will be more potent than he was before he declared a candidacy. I think it is a 2028 long shot by now. 2024 is most certainly gone for him.

  8. Whether or not his intention was traitorous is up to debate. I'm not going to put a label on it just quite yet. But what I do see for sure is a young green boy that is getting his balls clipped publicly by the quarterback after challenging him to a fight.

  12. ​@MrMalcolm900 Against Biden or Kamala or even Newsom, the only way he can be beaten in 2024 at this point is to cheat based on how the country is going. And they will have to do it five times harder as well. You don't try to knock him out before the election by jailing him if you think you have a guarantee you can get away with it like last time. I think at some level we all know that this wreaks desperation and desperation does not equal certainty. At this point, he has proven enough that I would vote for him even if I knew he was going to lose legitimately, because he is the middle finger I want- Because he isn't what the GOP leadership wants. Let's not make it easy for them.

  13. I think Catholicism is the least of Jeb's worries as to he lost. Never heard of him converting, but oh well. It's a shame because there's a lot of us who would that nomination. Not that I would back party but it would be nice. It doesn't seem natural having catholic values in a democrat platform. DeSantis is however, is not the Catholic I would vote for it this point as a republican candidate. I think the most likely Catholic Republican to get ennomination would be a Hispanic one.
