I've been talking with one or two Biden voters I know and they are getting very nervous (as in they totally want to avoid the subject) and are desperate to divert to the Mar-A-Lago nothingburger. It's getting good.

@gingeroverseer9302 I actually have a decent relationship with these people but we don't usually talk about politics. I did want to see them squirm on this one however. I was beaming on the inside.

Only partially. They thought it would prevent him declaring a candidacy, which it didn't. It actually got more Independence on his side, raised its popularity and gave him sympathy. Also, too many people now know that the situation is just not the same. I think this is more an impromptu Band-Aid.

That would be a stain on women everywhere. The first woman president of the United States did not get the position via election but was actually given it by a man. That's one bitter glass ceiling. Heels up Harris.

It's the independents. The problem for them if Biden steps down or is not the candidate is convincing the Independents that his replacement will not be the same thing which is going to be very hard at this point.

I kind of hope that his wife who apparently holds a bunch of power from within the White House gets enough of his core support together to fend this off. He'd be a hilarious 24 candidate. Perhaps she convinces him to declare a candidacy 😂
