  2. It could also be that PLTR actually does no longer want to commit to very long contract terms due to the inflationary environment. We do not know their commercial terms but typically customers expect some predictability/stability of price in exchange for signing long termed contracts otherwise why sign long term?

Sasha, they did comment about gov contracts - specifically they said they are providing gov services now even if orders have not yet been formally placed - simply due to the urgency of the situation. It is also known (from their 10-K - search for "seasonality") that gov contracts are seasonally low in Q1 and Q2. They explicitly commented that US gov budget just released led to delayed orders and expect pick up in H2. Frankly, I'm not so much worried about Palantir's performance in the (somewhat limited) gov sector. Commercial TAM is far, far greater and it's really important to seize that opportunity. Actually I am amazed that they are able to grow that fast in commercial with a brand new sales team. They have a complex product suite and enterprise sales cycles are long. It probably takes at least 6 months to grasp the product before you can effectively demo it to prospect customers without looking dumb.
