@rdean150 You became cynical because your initial expectations were unrealistic. So I offer you this new point of view: instead of being cynical (which is kind of toxic and not good for your self-image) why not see you new insight as: wow, now I finally get what being an employee is: company hires employees for as low as possible and only if they need their services (because profits). Company will fire employee if their services no longer needed (or inadequate), again because profits. Company needs profits to continue to exist. So you did the right thing, move on. Always important to keep the initiative in employment matters. No need to become cynical, you just became smarter.
