  1. Actually we do have examples of countries that have resisted globalisation: Cuba and North Korea. They have kept their wealth quite successfully to themselves - often not voluntarily as trade barriers have prevented them from "giving their wealth" to others in exchange for goods. The people there must be quite happy too, as we don't hear of many complaints. Their political systems are also quite stable. They don't suffer from inrush of undesirable immigrants - in fact I heard they have net emigration. That is certainly good news for the remaining inhabitants as their jobs will be even more secure. I'm not familiar with the number of rules and regulations in those countries, maybe someone else can comment on that.
