  1. ^- this is how you do it. Smart investing, don't over-leverage and don't rely on subsidy. Adapt when conditions change.

  3. No, actually the Germans never went back on already installed capacity. They only slowed down the build out of new subsidized capacity - that's a totally different ballgame.

  4. This is not how subsidies work. You don't get an enforceable contract that says "you get paid $x for 30 years" - instead there is a law or regulation that says "solar producers get reimbursed $x per kWh" but these laws/regulations can be changed relatively easily by the government at any time.
