  2. Our physics professors preempted that experience by saying on day one: "Don't expect to succeed with minimal effort like you used to. This is going to take you at least additional 10 hours home work and self study per week or you will fail". TA's would try to calm us down: "Don't worry it's tough in the beginning but going to get easy after the first 4 semesters". Lying bastards.

  3. I feel this is why it's beneficial to do some fighting sports, like Karate, Judo or the like - trainer will make sure to get rid of that entitled ego and the notion you can get away without effort.
