  1. You failed to ask the most important question: WHO can stop Putin? Apparently it's not the oligarchs, but who else? Military? FSB? Other actors? It doesn't make sense to say oligarchs have no influence on Putin and then ask to sanction the oligarchs.

  8. Competitive economy has little to do with politics. Politics can tweak here and there and it takes 5 to 10 years to see an effect. What is really relevant is the people and businesses and education. Is politics responsible for the success of the Silicon Valley?

What am I saying, he'll be as important as the guy who convinced Homo Sapiens to leave Africa. No, as important as the ape who convinced his fellows to climb down from the trees.
