People who do ok with YouTube are the exception.... Can't expect it to work for the vast majority if the stats are correct!!!

The majority of people I know spend 1K on just their rent.... I don't think the iPhone nor Starbucks are the reason median excess cash rates are low.... Can't be that people don't give up a few hundreads a month and will not be broke as long as expenses outpace income....

Yeah but as you can see her income would be more likely to double just by selling products aka sponsorships.... Some people don't care about the money but most bigger YouTubers try to get them.

To me he is likely looking for suggestions he can't find anywhere else... but entertainment is likely the easiest way to make money online IMO

well that all depends. Some tiny places cost less than 100K so assuming people can pay 100K in 10 years it give them options despite the drawbacks if they can live in them.

@eattherich9215 Yeah but people just don't look at how money really works.... People who can exploit others for money don't tend to say well I am rich due to the blood sweat and tears of others. Like no you have the law helping you in ways it does not help others....

Well yeah the idea of not having to do X,Y, or Z is appealing but the truth is to end up in a good situation requires outpacing expenses.

WTF I know as a landlord I extract wealth from others by providing a essential need.... they have to have a place to live because housing is not a given thing..... Yeah they can look cheaper but you should know cheaper is not always an option.

You do know owing a house vs. rents that rise make owning cheaper..... WTF are you talking about me making 2X my old income has allowed for so many more options!!!! I think owning a house is similar for the vast majority of owners!!!

Yeah that is the sad part that many online just ignore who makes possible what they use....... Plus they have a job if they make money off posting and post consistently. WTF your job is YouTube + whatever else makes you money!!!!

They have to go without to make this work.... If it works for them so be it but I can't imagine the majority of people.... they can't just go without because modern life has benefits that these people will likely also have to go without....

@JustMe-s6s4m Well yes I heard my self which is the reason I said expenses outpace income because at a certain point people can't cut expenses. Reducing cost by a few hundred dollars is not always going to save people because expense increases can replace those reductions.... I always ask myself what finance YouTubers focus on themselves... is it reducing expenses or is it producing money?

@strega_bonnie So most people waste money but prices have not been outpacing incomes? How can that be true when housing doubled in price over 30 years yet median income didn't? Dude numbers tell the story pretty well IMO!!!! No people make too little to afford access to basic services.... Broke is the default!!!

@strega_bonnie Well but the problem is that median incomes have not doubled but to buy a house in most locations close to anything requires more than many make as single income earners.... Like dude my parents house was bought for about 160K and if sold would go for more than 400K WITHOUT ANY UPGRADES (same kitchen same bathrooms, same carpet and flooring).. just basic maintenance (new roof, new paint job). This family was not broke to the point they could not afford to buy housing or land and have alternate options.
