We need to think very critically here. His claim depends on accepting an entirely unproven assumption: that he actually heard the impact of the plane. How does he know this?

It's a close 2nd to truth movement conspiracy videos.

If one applies critical thinking as much to the truth movement itself as to the government, their theories fall apart at every level, except for the few sensible claims that everyone already agrees with anyway. The most absurd of the truth mvt's absurdities is the 10-year-old level theory that the government would make fake physics the centerpiece of their alleged plot. It's so preposterous that one has to seriously question the sanity of people who reason at this level. Flight 93 is another 10-year-old theory: that despite 3 collapsed buildings and thousands of deaths, the war on Terror depended on a few heroes. Where is the connection here? Why do heroes make a difference? Does any serious person think that without a feel-good uplifting drama, America would be against retaliation? One could go on and on with the sheer juvenility of truth theories. No offense intended.

If you think the government wished to make fake physics the primary pillars of their alleged plot, you are not thinking like an adult.

@zzz22214 Doesn't change the fact they aren't stupid. Stupid theories, like the Truth movement's claim the government embraced patently fake physics, has no place in an adult conversation. Wouldn't you agree?
2
They didn't. They are everywhere still.

If there's a valid claim in what you're saying, submit a paper to a science journal. Easiest thing in the world to do, but after 20 years the truth mvt refuses to publish in science journals, by which I mean respected science peer review publications. If you have the science on your side, then we should have the proof in hand. Let me know when you have some.

@jotammerretenezeta4509 What exactly do you mean it blew while falling?
2
@jotammerretenezeta4509 Oh I see what you are referring to. My lay understanding goes like this: First, it's important to note that the actual collapse didn't start until after the upper block had tilted several degrees. And as it tilted it also started rotating and twisting. As a result, the upper block would most likely have torn itself free of the perimeter columns on the other sides of the building. Once enough of these connections were severed, the upper block had only a single floor below holding it up. But the floors were not designed to carry such weight, so the entire upper block could only fail downwards. So the two key takeaways for me are: there was no change in path because the tilting happened before the ensuing collapse; and it was this tilting twisting motion that caused the severing of the upper block from the perimeter columns below it. That explains why it had to fall downwards, not sideways. I am not a structural engineer, so I don't know if this is what actually happened. But do you have evidence that invalidates this possible scenario?
2
How many absurd claims do you need before rendering the truth movement a pile of sh-t?

Only one thing more far fetched and that's the truth mvt itself. Its central tenets are beyond preposterous, such as the retarded notion the government decided to base its central conspiracies on fake physics. If the world were run by 10-year-olds, that theory might make some sense. But for alleged adults to embrace something so monumentally stupid is further confirmation of the present generation's "headlong flight into the absurd." The truth movement is like consulting Alice in wonderland for foreign policy analysis. Little wonder the movement effectively died out long ago.
2
That's because these theories have a strong appeal to 10-year-olds.

You don't always see large pieces when the impact is so intense. The best example may be PSA flight 1771. All first responders saw was confetti sprinkled on a hillside. Nothing remotely resembling a plane. Those of us who studied air crashes long before 911 were bemused at the self-styled crash experts that sprang up the day after 9/11. Their ignorance is confirmed whenever they go to respected air safety forums such as PPRuNe. They are hard to tolerate because they haven't a clue about commercial aviation, safety and otherwise. Try it out and see how far you get.
2
You think like a normal adult. By contrast these comments are indicative of 10-year-old logic. Such as the truly minboggling claim that the government chose to base its alleged plot on fake physics. Tell me, can a rational adult really entertain something that stupid?

@rokon1991 I did more searches and it seems you are right. Not as many as there used to be. There are two possible reasons for this. -the government sensors Youtube to protect government complicity. -a basic crackdown on "conspiracy theories" in general, not because they are true, but because they are seen as primarily a form of disinformation. As you probably have seen, recently there's been a huge drive for so-called media accountability. Facebook, Twitter, also have sought to crack down on what they feel are unfounded claims, especially those which might in their eyes inspire violence. I am not a believer in 9/11 conspiracy theories. I find them rotten at their core, and fail at almost every level of analysis. But I still want the complete freedom for them to post there ideas. There should be zero censorship of an event that happened so long ago. It makes me as angry as you.

@jotammerretenezeta4509 At the very beginning of the collapse, of course the tilt gives way to straight down because the part that's sagging straightens out once the upper block completely shears off the from perimeter columns. After that, I don't think you can tell due to all the smoke and debris that there's still a changing path. But if you want to illustrate with a video link, I'm happy to have a look again.

@jotammerretenezeta4509 The link did not show up on my end. If you have the title with exact length, I can probably find it.
