  1. I don't think so. What normal kid, however prone to bad mistakes, wants to assault a 98-year old? And continue to have s=x when she's dead. This is way beyond a massive mistake, as I see it. This is beyond anything remotely normal.

  4. It's a good question. But it's just one of many that comprise the debate over the death penalty. Personally, I am against it in practice, but I cannot pretend there aren't also good cases for it.

  7. Good point. I think it can be both or either, or perhaps other factors which is why we should not jump to the conclusion it's the parents' fault. Look at the Kaczynski brothers.

  8. Some people are so sick they may not be able to WANT to help themselves. Remember, these are not just normal people who screwed up, they are so incredibly different than you or me, and we kid ourselves when we try to imagine them being anything like us.
