While I appreciate where you are coming from, the idea that the vast majority of men are dense, and a truly understanding man is like finding a needle in a haystack, seems to me way over the top. If one gets to know a wide variety of men they will find plenty of decency; men committed to equal rights; walking in anti-violence marches alongside women; speaking out against rape culture. These sexist attitudes are also largely shared by women too. I wouldn't doubt that there are many men as you describe. But sometimes I wonder if the expectations are unrealistic. Like Jody Allard who laments that her teenage sons rejected the idea of rape culture. As if one expects teenage boys to have fully matured views by the time they are 16.
