  1. Sorry, the vast bulk of evidence shows that the war on drugs causes far more harm than good. It's also just plain wrong to make a relatively harmless act into a federal crime. You have no sense of basic principle here.

  3. I agree. BUT I have one big complaint. The stuff stinks up everything. Since they legalized in Massachusetts, you smell it frequently, people walking into gas stations and smelling it up, illegally in parks. Don't such people have any sense of consideration? The idea seems to be they have the right to stink up any place they feel like. So I would be in favor of stiff fines for stinking up public places. These people don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. They are selfish piglets.

  5.  @shauntaylor9503  What about the proven link between the war on drugs and murder, the war on drugs and property crimes, in turning whole countries into war zones? If Marijuana causes psychosis and schizophrenia , that's a medical issue, not a criminal one. The point is, the criminalizing of these substances is an example of the cure being worse than the disease. If I have a joint in my pocket, and I'm an adult, and know the risk, and keep it from stinking up your property, that's really not your business. BUT, if it were left to my own selfish preferences, I would ban it because it stinks up public parks, gas stations, you name it. These users have no respect for anyone else.

  6.  @shauntaylor9503  Would you also be in favor or jailing people who smoke cigarettes? Cigarettes cause strokes, heart attacks and lung cancer, and amputations (when liked to diabetes,) and increases the risk for several other diseases. It also kills other through 2nd hand smoke.

  7.  @Pk-io6xe  The only real argument is the stuff stinks, and the people that smoke in public places and stink up gas stations when they come in, are selfish pigs who couldn't be bothered by the effect it has on others.
