  1.  @GeoStreber  I flew some A-220s recently on Delta, and it is fast becoming my favorite plane. But I can't figure out why. The legroom seems especially excellent, but I can't believe it's seat pitch is any different than other narrowbodies. The window in the rear lavatory is a nice touch. Am I a victim of some type of cognitive bias?

  2. All over the world it seems airlines are not prepared to deal with the sudden increase in demand. And it's clear they are prepared to put passengers at greater risk to do so. Greed wins out over safety once again.

  3. As you hinted towards the end, the super big jets coming back may also have something to do with the sex appeal factor and the symbolic as well. A recent article suggests this is why 747s flew for so much longer than they were economically profitable. So maybe "the Concord factor" applies here?
