What I really don't understand is, why is this even an issue? My teachers never said to me, "Hi there he, how are you?" or "Hi she, I got your paper." I have never been addressed by anyone as a pronoun, have you? If the teacher doesn't like these new pronouns, no one is forcing him to use them. Just use their actual name instead. Easy solution, no?
