  1. I concur with the author who wrote, years ago, that this is just a continuation of a chronic misuse of the island. It's a unique natural resource and would be more logical if it became the centerpiece of the Boston Harbor Islands State Park. If it were so today, would anyone advocate taking it down? I cannot believe that this is the only viable place to build a homeless shelter. More controversially, could both coexist given how large the island is?
