  1. I had a rough updraft approaching LaGuardia on July 5. It was probably perfectly normal, but even that can be unnerving. I wasn't really afraid, but if you haven't experienced it ever, or in a while, it reminds one the potential violence of flight. Being in an E-170 might not have helped.
