@robocop581 : Not all citizens in HK could get a foreign passport, you know. That is the reality. The reason why many from HK who could before, was because... they had a British passport to begin with. So then they are entering the USA as a British Citizen. But after 1997. There should be no British nationals left. So then.. it means that... the BNO ones, are "just" born in that period... between.... just before 1997... or on the actual date. But not after. That is it. Nobody else should qualify.

@5v1i100c : This is why the UK has an immigration issue right now... I class myself as British Cantonese and even I can see the issues here. Even after the financial crashes I mean.... You can see why most countries are still in lockdown and depression.

@tranbachuyen6655 : You don't get what is going on, do you ? HK is meant to be the outlet and trade. That is not even just what the British side wanted. That was forced upon the British government at that time. Britain wanted Shanghai. Not HK. But were forced to get HK. So ok.. fine. So HK... What the west doesn't know is that... There is a northern government and a southern government. Not all regions were under a single leader. They had their regional governance. Because of capitalism... Because of the wrong move of PRC joining the wto... Because of.... The need to make money. All basic governance model has collapsed.

@vlhc4642 : It is not china that threw a spanner into the woodwork. It is the PRC that threw this into the woodwork. Signed documents was with Qing. Qing gave away lands that doesn't belong to them ? Wouldn't give them Shanghai but forced them to take another province's land. And indirectly weakened that local government. Really? Do you know why Japan attacked ? Japan would attack Singapore and the North but not the South ? Why ? It is the USA that loves Northern Manchu, Russian and Siberians.

Why is it stupid? It has ALWAYS existed.... Just that you don't know. And maybe this is why HK seems to have SO many transient people. Some people, or a lot of people, are literally HK citizens for generation.... This kind of immigration control have always existed in many of the British Commonwealth countries before. Nothing new. Even during the second world war... when there weren't any planes. You still have to do this kind of declaration before you board ANY ships to do ANY work to the USA or to Europe. Sorry... but rules are rules. It seems to be that in 2022... A LOT of the millennials have NEVER experienced this kind of thing before. Well.. about time that you did. Cos life seems to be easy for you then... Well... people did it. So.... you should have to "plan" a trip. I read on some random article... I knew that... HK had a 8 million population. But... somebody stated that...around "30 million of 'tourists'" visits every single year. I'm like...WTH ? What ?....WHO ???...WHY ????..... Why ? That is insane. Even if you get around a big 2 million visitors PER year... This is good enough. 30 million ?! So how come... where are the hotels then? Is this why there is an increased density situation in HK... and the walking petition had like around 1 MILLION people ?!!?!.... Judging from people's responses, they assumed that, all those 1 million has come to the UK. Wrong... some ran back off to the mainland !!! Cos they know that they cannot make money, or live the life that they wanted before. Before 1997... There certainly did not have a 30 million tourists... figure.. Definitely NOT. That is so ridiculous that it is surreal....OMG.

You did not know that the USA also enacted a law to reject or prosecute CCP members as well? So some people left HK and went back to the mainland. Lol.... There used to be this "return homeland visa" office in HK. But it has closed, apparently. So this speaks volume really.. of those control points. China, never HAD actual fiscal control anyway, and provincial movement control. Cos you're not supposed to be able to travel everywhere. That is not part of the laws. So... when people watched social media.. and assume that they could.. Well.. you don't have the "landing right" to enter another province/state/"nation" basically.... People online makes it out like you could. But you can't. With this lockdown, I think most chinee nationals realises that, this is the end of those days. Cos it had always been that you couldn't anyway. Back to the days whereby there were no trains.. I mean... So it is now weird that, people living in the same province cannot have access to food. Why? Cos they sold the farm land for money, and nobody is growing food in the same province. What they going to do? Starve ? Well.. it looks like it now.

In the so called "PRC".... a "province " has around a 100 million people. A "city" is like 10 million people.... and people assume that, there OUGHT to be this many people leaving HK and entering the UK as well? Not possible!!!!

@waileungchong7507 : I also don't care that you don't care.... who those people are... and why they are doing what they are doing. Everybody has a job title, and a duty. When is a citizen, follow civic rules too. Simple as. If government, then govern fairly.... If foreign migrant, then know your position in relation to the immigration laws. Nothing TO IT. I am not taking side... you are saying, or suggesting that... "these people deserve it"... But if you read many articles.. or watch videos. The city is now a ghost town. Literally, there are no people to govern !!! That's not good, is it ? It has basically borderline economically collapsed. Sorry if you think that you are seeing more emotive things.. but this is an actual governance issue as well. And citizens have a part to it too.

@waileungchong7507 : Did you know that the USA came and became strong only because that, they were actually full of actually "Asians" to begin with ? Are you sure that they all raped women ??? The USA was formed post second world war.... and so many were actually.. you could trace them and their DNA back to the Eight Nation. You DO know that, don't you ? Also, a lot of "Cantonese" now in HK... are actually part of the old Russians or Nazis.... ?? Did you know this ? ....

Oh my God... no way...... I never knew that this was what was happening !... No wonder so many ex-PLAs and army people are in the UK !!! And then, there is so much harassments, and hitting, and whatnots as well ?... Like, a LOT. Now I know why... people had been actually hostile... and bull-ish. It is like, most of these people come to the UK... to hit on.. and physically assault the existing ex-commonwealth cohorts. Some of these people were Europeans. And not chinese. They were mixed race. Those visas... allowed an actual open door policy, basically from mainland china, into the rest of the world. Which many should not have, and not be so.

@loneranger9376 : Even before the pandemic.. if you were genuinely local HK cantonese, then yes, sure.. you could actually apply. It is the ones that were from the mainland.... which in later years.. managed to move down there... and then try to go abroad. And they only see it as a "temporary visa". They don't actually know know know... that it is for the "pathway to residencies". THAT is ultimately the issue as well. Some of those terminologies,... and the things they say... does not even match up with the actual UK laws... They deal with their chinese laws... on UK soil. Or something just as weird like that. No wonder... I read that the USA side.. enacted actual.... law against the CCP members. Meaning that, if you are part of a membership to communism, the you cannot go to the USA. I think Europe also banned communism, the party as well. If I am not misunderstood. Based on the past wars. Certain things have been made illegal in the US and in Europe. I doubt that, these visa checks take THAT into consideration too. This is insane.

It's actually a passport, and not a "visa".... It means that, it turns those people into British nationals. Now.. if this means that... this is different to the HK SAR passport. Then.. so be it. does that mean that, they can in the future live in HK with both the ID, and the British passport ? That is the question... some people say that... there was never any laws... made for... the nationalities in dispute. But then again.. it looks like that... nobody is standing out to clarify this matter !

Then it means that they act like South korea or like Japan ??? The members are often actually like, descendents of the Imperial Families etc.... etc...and then they decide on who to cull or not etc... and why.... And whether those companies are basically creating "the next generation" etc etc... If you understand chinese history and has an eye and ear out for this kind of thing, then you would know what is going on etc... So....

You do know that America is also made up of a lot of "Asians" as well ? Chinese already dominates the world... all over.... Whether they are mixed race.. mixed around1/8th or 1/4 or whatever whatever ? They do....

I've watched and read a few videos.. some scholars kept saying that.... the "HK was always a migrant city"... Er.... I think if they look look.. and check their identities... a lot of the people who go back there, are the indigenous people. The ones who often.. kick up a fuss... is usually about the international trades.. and really... if you read some of the comments from SE asian disporas.. as well as mainland citizens as well..... I think it is THEY who screwed up the PRC's politics. Cos frankly... it is a 1.2 BILLION existence... Cos these small communities bulldoze over the rest of those people? I bet you that, some people don't even know that their country is like 1.2 BILLION..... Cos they don't even have TV ! Never mind the news ! Already... they are trying to rob those rural banks as well....
