In the UK, we have a subsidy to help people do things... So if you are retired and cannot do certain things, then you can get this help. A lot of people do not.. but only those who worked in office jobs all of their lives, could afford to do so. They are a lot lot lot more mobile... But those who worked in manual jobs in the previous generation, suffers a lot lot lot more.

It's not necessarily the materialistic side of things either. It could be because of the elders not liking the person.. and then the rest of the tiers.. the whole family has to turn against the girl as well... I remember meeting my cousin's GF.. and he really did stress and went all out for her as well... But they didn't and wasn't independent... such that... it was so hard to keep a family together as well. So... I now realised why so many couples would go into business and family together, like my brother did. Cos.. I had always thought that was a bad strategy... but then again, if both parties as a couple worked together as well... and then raise a child, with small help from extended families, then.. it is a lot easier and less harsher on the woman as well.. and when she recovers... Then this help as well... Cos it is hard, or so hard to.. deal with everything, and you DO need extra help. Just another extra pair of hands.

@khalidalali186 : Sorry, where do you live ??.... Anyway, this is kind of nonsensical because. The lady can exchange it back to 40x per sing dollar. Whereas the US guy is 1.5 per sing dollar. Plus he has to pay taxes. She doesn't. And her outgoing is covered, his isn't. So he has to spend more ? So.... A lot of differences. I hope that the US guy is looked after. Often, they see a foreigner and many foreigners get attacked. Even though USA now is full of SE Asians. But don't let the 2024 details confuse you over the 1980s....

@heavymetalrox268 : Some people pay around 20k per month's on rent. Do you wish to pay this amount, or do you want to have it covered by your employment contracts ? Even when bankers move from the West to East as an internal transfer, their living is dealt with by their HRs... So.... She is taking this as home-free, tax-free pay back to her home country. Some people can't do that, cos they don't pay taxes in their working country, but have to pay personal taxes back home.

Well.. as my mother said.. it is the "oldest marry first, and then the next ones after that, if he doesn't marry, then you don't marry, so find him a wife ! "... I tried my best too ! Literally palmed off everybody that I know !... And it is true. Whether you do believe this, or you don't believe it. Cos if the older one marries off first, then you know who is left... and which family should and should not marry. Cos you don't want incest situation to occur. That is all part of feng shui. And yet.. people literally DOESN'T.... deal with these issues.. and DOESN'T even stays open-minded either. Then.... I am sure that China has a system.. but to me.. that system is more or less destoryed now. And yes.. it is a laughing stock of an issue. If anything. I hope that Korea, that is South Korea doesn't fail on their situation.... Cos everywhere else, it has. Even religious marriages, aren't very religious any more... They put their royal heritages first and foremost.. than anything. And the thing is inside China. You meet a LOT of psycho men as well ? The ones who you did not hurt. Who you never asked about dowry, and you just ran off. Being none of your business. Would end up walking past a guy or a man.. and he would hit you. If you ask about how many chinese women have been hit by men. That is both somebody that they know, to somebody whom they do NOT know... Ask them directly.. and see the figures. It is ultra high ? VERY high..... If you befriend somebody that is not chinese, then you get a respite. If you befriend somebody of the same sex, your family would critise you and call you gay. Always these kind of BS lines.... I have seen my auntie... literally being critised by my father's extended cousin, for harassing me... If he didn't do that. I think I would be dead on the streets.... For being what ? Obtuse ?... So yeh.. stick with your own family. And don't critise somebody else. Cos they would gun for you... and you will die. That is how dangerous, this is all is.... Women dying, is quite high. That is, chinese women being murdered, is a very very VERY high figure in China... and across the board.

Er... this isn't technically true. Cos.. those schools were paid for by SOMEBODY... and it is always and also the case that the previous generation paid back into this. So... it is a case of..."finding ways to marry into that hukuo.. or move or migrate into that hukuo..."... and once you are inside that space. A lot of people, also... have to work hard.. extremely hard.. to raise the effect of that city's operations and running. The tier 1 cities, are mostly shipping and coastal cities. Cos it was trading with other nations. That is why it raised its profile. The Western side of the country is more farm land, and land.. But because some of the previous generation's tier 1 cities.. used their own banks and gave up loans towards the Western side of the country. This is whereby, the government, got more powerful to decide on what happened next, as they absorbed their banks. This is why some cities, like Tier 1 now, are fallen or falling.... Basically. So... If you ever played the game "tag".. when you were growing up as a kid.. then you would know. Basically. So... This is why, some areas were running out of women. And then they got dragged back into those areas to marry off... So... This is why, some people had the opportunities, to work abroad.. And then the deal to sign with other foreign countries to do trade deals. And exchanges. The so called one belt one road was about that. So the Western side of the country developed with Germany.. and they had been exporting for many years.. So... This is why, their standard can look similar to Tier 1 cities... But yes, I bet it is still stressful though. Very stressful.

Extremely disrespectful... like, really extreme to the core. I thought that people were "normal"... but I was so wrong... even now, when I look back in time, to my uni days... most of the SE Asians... are the most crazy ones... To "not die"... is actually an accorlade... So.... This is a no-nonsense... So... in some small areas, people don't think about the fact that they're their relatives... lol..... I thought that was quite funny. If poor and poverty before the globalisation.... I think this kind of passive aggressiveness... is just... even worst... than being in war. Cos didn't during those Tibetan years... the actual.... monks ate the women ? They did ! And that wasn't a joke !... So.... What many chinese guys do not think about is... cos of... like... They don't think or even get that most women, had been abused, in one way or another already... It is like... For me... being hit is one of those situation... That is both from family... and then also from... so called "friends" at uni.... Mostly chinese men would hit you... cos they don't communicate.. or is confused of the situation.... And many couldn't participate in group situation... as she described, which is true... and then th elist goes on and on as well ? And being a female member within a large family group as well... Who would support who ? Seeing your partner be "dated" by your cousin's little girl ? Or... being pushed and pulled sideways along the "who needs to take whose side in the argument" as well.... ??? Always so many problems. I recall being asked, and pushed.. on why I spent time with some other female friends.... And they were right. Cos I was too friendly with them, and asked too much of my family as well. Either way, you would never ever ever win. Ever. If you are alive, then you're very lucky. What we imagine in our minds, are never what is perceived in the world. And we don't have love for others that isn't our own. Naturally... and yet, we cannot act very logically either... all of the time in front of loved ones. So.... It's just not possible. I wish I stayed in HK. I would've lived a better chinese life, and definitely say "no"... or ignore others. And none of this "trapped inbetween" cultures... you cannot push away an attacker.. and you canot disrespect yourself... and your family.. and then there is your colleagues... and they don't even get it. And doesn't follow those 8 ettiquettes of keeping relationships.. or to stay at arm's length etc etc etc. Today, if you follow Confucian values, then you are nothing but a "hater" online... Those are the internet rules.. and those are the laws.. And if people even knew the laws, then the laws would side with them. But not at all. Cos somebody,.. knows somebody... would intercept you online and ruin you for life. That is how it works. The power of control and in position of powers today. If nothing stopped the wars, and if nobody stopped issues... everything is "an accident" then... What is left ?

This is genuine culture. Just because you don't understand it. This is why most people say that there is no ethic in society because people do banking all in the wrong way ? She was raised in subsidised housing. Most people did in the last 30 to 40 years. Just cos you don't know it or doesn't acknowledge it. It did happen... But she is talking about the modern current scenario now... So..... It's just. Sigh.

So if you live inside a province, that province is your "country", say. See the whole of the PRC, same as the whole of the EU ?... So a province-level thing... is equal to a country in the EU. And each province, takes care of their own internals. That is how I see it, as.

If I want to see reform in China. I like to see a reform system that allows adjustments as in.. auto adjustments..in lineage and in wealth....in order to keep their heritage..... These ladies are odd. Cos she shouldn't put her name on the apartment. Well.. married couple is fine but if he leaves, she is still lumped with that debts too ? So.... But one thing is certain and true is that, there is "safety" in numbers. lol.... And to be fair, I've worked in chinese teams.. and they do make work, light. :) So, the work that needs to be done, is and can be done like, under 10 minutes, when you have around 10 to 20 people. I mean... lol.... I was like... "wow... this is sooo nice".... :) Dream. Team. Dream. Just a dream. When chinese people stop bickering, they get things done. Like, very easily. Seriously coordinated, and done. Just done. hehe. 😅 I think it is just that sometimes, their goals are a bit too far-fetched, or whatever it may be.

@turtlesoup8134 : Well... that is what we see from an outsider's viewpoint. However... being born inside china, you are locked down in your literal province or birth place? We call that "heung ha"... So... as far as I know.. you are bound to your ancestral place. So... and not to move around all that much. Their developments and developments shifted, is because of the last 20 to 30 years... or so... which is true.. but remember one thing. "All that glitters is not gold." So.. there are still tier 3 or 4 cities.. and they don't have the wealth, per se. Those areas, from my understanding, are equal to.. or similar to... European cities. Or countries. So... Maybe there is a "ceiling" inside China. That is how I assume it is. So... but... and then, they too are sanctioned though. As in, the more they find out about loans and capitalisms.. the more they actually find out those repayments, and such-likes. So....

You don't know what she's been through... She could have been cheated on before. How do you get over that ? You also get PTSD as well... Your assumption is that she fears she can go through the next part without making any more mistakes. The reality ? The reality is not as so. Or as such. In reality ? As you get older.. the chances of heartache related heart attacks are real ?... It happens. And often it's women supporting women too. If women are also good... Then they wouldn't burden on society but to part in the karma... Around 200 million abortions of kids. I just got that figure... And while women go through that. Which switched on women had to carry on the batons ?... The ones that aren't married but can focus and hasn't gone through child birth yet can think clearer often helps out the women that have gone through birthing and cannot roll back...

In other countries, they study economics. Well.. this is chinese economics. Who marries who. Which family marries which family and where they move. The whole hukuo thing, is basically a registration. Actually. It means that the boy stays where they are? And the woman marries away from her family home. This is why it is always tearful. Most would meet at university, or at work. And then they move back home. Of course, this is always strange... but because of modern society, most couple moves away... so then leaves those "child left on their own with grandparents" happen a LOT ? Which is crazy too... cos the children raises the children.... and aren't looked after. So... It didn't help.. when... say cities like HK... when it got rich... the men "bought" more and more wives.. like, they had an average of three to four women ? i.e.mistresses.... That p!sses a lot of people off.. Cos in their mind, they want to expand the family tree... but to their next of kins... This is even more weird.. isn't it ?... HOW is it to work out ?..... Oh... it is even more weird now, if you trace any single family tree.... Quite wut duk.

If I see such people pushing this kind of thing, I would have slapped them. Same with Cantonese now, being eroded away..... from the Canton province. So Putonghua is used.. which is semi mongolian-ish... and Jin... but not even Qin and Tang sounding, even though there WAS a pronunciation book dating so far back.... If Mao is alive, I will throw my shoe at him. If I was ignorant, this is one thing, but now I am more educated... No wonder so many people just turn to the monasteries... and give up life.

Everybody knows it. They end up going to the Philippines and have lots of babies without anything.. and then their kids worship the guy and earn him money. We know the score... Look at the high population in Indonesia or the Philippines and you would know the issues.... When the banks are stolen away and go where the credits are maxed. And people max out the credit cards. Oh... We know alright. Nobody claimed their kids. Oh... Some guys do.... The rest doesn't.

Even in HK alone, there were a lot of different dialects, but they have been eroded away... You now have people living in cage homes. Even if they have an actual hukuo... These people are of course, feel free. Cos they are allowed to move into different regions, which are meant to be individual countries themselves. So now, anyone in this generation, can take over the land, the resources, from previous generations' hard work, money poored into those areas, and so forth. How did, mongolians... actually created money, if they were nomads to begin with ? And how come, the Dutch merchants, who created the banking system in HK, now has to share their wealths with another race??? These are ignorants people... Cos they have no idea who laid down the ground for them to walk on to begin with.... Economist: "Everyone is happy, until they run out of someone else's money".... In 1970.. China had around 700 million people... It doubled, under Mao. There is not going to be enough, for everybody in China... Other countries have kept a control of their people's population... They even inter-marry their extended families, in order to be frugal. What has China done for the world ? Who deserved anything ??? I hope, in my generation, I want to see China shrink back down its population. I want to see different class level in China. I want this to be done. To address the future, and to remain humble. And in a western society if the women doesn't work and pay taxes, you as a man can't afford a child anyway or childcare either ! Cos it comes from our taxes too !!! Western men doesn't act like that to others because they know that an adult woman pays for their child too !!! Only typical Chinese men thinks this... Bearing in mind, a lot of cheeky men have lots of babies and then dumps them. Such that the government has to create a child register to chase him for maintenances..... And this is why most women stays away from such men too. Cos if she married him. She too has to take over their maintances too.

@lionedheart : But the thing is, you are judging her... like you judge a person in the west. They have no banks. By marrying, is their way to transfer money from A to B. They don't have a national state's provision ? Either you live in an actual city that has it. (Paid for, and already build by, the previous generation. Or else, you need to advance your family, and keep swapping and trading, between other cities, to bring the money back into your own city. That is how it works. So even though you say that China has exploded, this was true. And is true. That was the mobility, free mobility issue.. and also the sending of their own people abroad to work, and then swapped for money. To send back home. This is what created their wealth to begin with.... )... Now, if they are slowing down, and they are still NOT actually all educated in the "global system and method"... then... to them, they don't mind if they reverted backwards. The question is whether, after this slow down... whether they would revert back to themselves. From what I can see, a lot of people have given up as actual chinese? And many "chinese" are basically global multi-racial individuals already any way ? So.... to many, it matters not, if there is and isn't a race any more inside China. Cos technically, there isn't. A lot of countries already stated by their nationality laws that, if your parents or ancestors are of this land, then you are too. So... don't compare country by country. Technically, many overseas' citizens are chinese.. actually... so... Their great grand parents actually never went back. Not everybody did.

@ingridkwong1692 : A lot of chinese women, work to their bones abroad... and even if they marry, sure.. they need to double check first, to be fair.. since a lot of the past generation of chinese already married one another. So who is left? That is why you need to be more careful who you marry, so that you don't marry your grand uncle !!!! Silly ! And that itself is not a bad thing. Even in other races,most don't try to aim for incest !!!! I think for white people's culture, it is around third cousins.. marry somebody that is fourth cousin instead.. so then your baby isn't born with deformities.. So... I think Korea did just that.... and hence, they tried to deal with health issues as it arises.... I don't think this is talked about. Only if you were married, and then your inlaws would discuss birthing issues with you. Most chinese women, would be raised with TCM knowledges so.... and that itself is not a bad thing. i.e. Get ready to look after yourself.. and your baby. That is what an educated woman. Or what I expect an educated woman to do.. look after themselves.. and their baby. This is what a good thing about HK... cos the agricultural days and those people, were born with basic hands on knowledges, and it adds to the scientific and educated classes as well.. and it helps... so it goes both ways.... Whereas in the mainland, you didn't have the slow educational path and curve... upwards.. so info are missing... and there lies the dangers...

And this explains why single women, bought up to around a sodding... She bought the entire Shenzen ? And some people.. especially with a large family.. if a city has an actual large family... that owns the entire city, like South Korea does... and Japan... then.... situations like, younger child, marries older man.. happens, quite a lot ? As in, grand great uncle, marries the niece situation too. lol... Anyway, a lot of chinese now marry westerners.. especially here in the UK too... so.... And they ended up as marrying their different kids... like... I don't want to go on. It's pointless. Everything is pointless. Meanwhile.. the ones who throws out every piece of laws and ettiquettes they survives... I have seen good people.. literally very sad.. They turned super sad because of marriages... Many many of my uni friends... when I saw them with glows in their eyes.. only to... become very sad.. in life.

It's hard because... things were also cheaper in those days inside China too. So yeh.. if you had an actual foreign job inside China. Then live is a lot easier? So... but they try to compare yourself.. abroad.. (at foreign rates) compared to Chinese rates. That is why this lady.. she is talking about some things, that I don't quite understand.. She said that.. the parents buy insurances and deposit them into the house, since the birth of the child. In a way, that is what a lot of parents DO do ? I know somebody that did that here in the UK too. I didn't know or realises why the mother was SO angry... at the lady.... but in the end, after so much bickerings... and things like that... They tried to get married. It has been such a struggle. I wish I never heard these kind of things. and to be fair. I don't wish to be born chinese in this century, cos it is too tough. If you don't bear a boy. You are dumped. If you do bear a boy. And then... anyway, you're dumped too. Either way, you wil be dumped. lol... It is a matter of dumped before. Or dumped after. This is why... if you know how to read chinese... lol.... There are poems.. inside... about.... love... lol.... It is not really about love, than it is about the woman dying or be killed. They were killed off. So... the beautiful women.. had been historically... been married to. So they pretty ones, either get stolen, raped, or whatever. And then the left over ones, are the uglier ones? So therefore.. since historically and politically, all the nice ones are dead. Well... this is why, in this generation, you don't see the prettier women left inside China. lol.... (This is historically true. lol. ) I kind of knew that from when I was younger... I don't know why I know that. But I did. lol.... This is why... SOME.... or modernisation.. led SOME families.. that had prettier women, they get a lot of financial support continuously, so that they have a future generation and more women from that branch of the family tree. :)

So.. this is why these tech wars.. and these tech firms... and these technocrats too.. And they control.. those buildings.. .And those CEOs.. also build those offices.. and to switch deals etc.. So.. This is just... I mean... At least some of these rural places, are focused. If anything.. and we are watching this through actual tech products... which, so many Indians.. Filipino Americans... @danischannel : It had always been the girl that gets the dowry and not the boy. It is all of these so called "Multi-cultural" messed up a lot of these original cultures and traditions !!!! It is like..."you're chinese, so why are you religious" ?.... (FYI.... the believers of the church, can get access to the Religious Bank.... and others don't. They pay taxes.) So.. I have met ad apples... that literally rob the religioous pot. ALL of it. So then left the genuine "descendents of Jesus"... poor.... and with nothing. And yet, they are chinese !!!!! For my family, I don't think many people paid... but I know that, I have actually given a lot of gifts and things to my sister in law, and I .. even as a woman... pay towards those aunties and women who have been good to me. Some people keep saying things like... "but your family is just 3 people"... like hell it is.... I have seen a lot of my aunties, die.. or my mother's peer group.. I watched the declined.. over time... And yeh... there's another idiot that would LOVE to write a story about THAT too. Every time I get a red packet, I give it back to their grand child. Every single time. Til I cannot keep count. I am done ?? So... If people hoard money. This is not my fault. Cos I followed my ethics as much as I could. I don't care about the rest.

If you understood basic accountancy, it actually follows through with these so called dowry concepts.. and budgeting.. It ties together. Similar to UK's farming agricultural sectors of the past. It came from somewhere. As much as we say that we aren't literally that different.. some things are similar. The way we messed things up is not knowing what was in existence and what wasn't... So... this is why the poor and wealthy gap is so big. Maybe the gap between countries ought to be big anyway. But not within the same country. That is weird. It was never meant to be designed this way. And each country meant a small group of family. And their money cycle back into their next generation.

@远方的家-z9r : The thing is that, a lot of women, were abandoned as babies.. before.. and they were looked after.. so much, by other wealthier women. So... and the thing is, I don't get why they wouldn't have abortions. At all. So when I read about the latest article about how the USA saved the children... Er... basically, their parents couldn't afford to keep them. Whereas here in the UK, you are under.. the option, or to have the option TO abort... Especially if you know that you don't and cannot afford to keep more babies. After the war, UK's women.. many aborted their child.. til they built up the country again. So migrants today.... they gained, A LOT.. from the other countries having resoueces, and not using it for themselves? So... Think about it like that instead. Instead of thinking about colonialisation.. think about what that country is offering you.. in return... It is so hard to raise a child. It really is. So hard. I know women in my mom's generation really gave away their wealths too.... to the next generation. Cos what else, could you do ? Nothing. What she is saying, is nothing.. really... to what people sacified before. Or at all. So.... This is why in Japan, some women leave their babies at the temples. They do. And then they also leave whatever they could... and then the temple takes in the child and to raise them. This also existed in tier 1 city like HK too. And some of those individuals, went on to have their child. But not everybody is so lucky either though. So... a lot of people are raised without parents. So... They are orphans, cos the one child policy came into force.

That gentleman is very astute... and he knew about that three generation thing. Am very surprised that he knows such things ! ..... We have a similar phrasing in cantonese too. "1st generation are cousins, 2nd generation are cute, 3rd generation is distant"....

This is the same too in the UK. It's called "council housing". So... you can get those, if you built your own wealth.. and could buy it from the local government. The local government allows you to do this, cos if you have a child.. then they need money for the schools? So.. some people bought theirs. You do not have to buy it. Cos it isn't for this purpose.. but if that is your hometown anyway, then... cos everybody tries to find ways to make money. They would try and steal somebody else's shares.. and this has been the situation that caused a lot of conflicts everywhere.. in every single country. So... and why we are now at war too. Cos people would literally scam you too. i.e. use tech methods to steal money from you for whatever purposes... and they will keep doing this, til you die... Cos they don't want to ... Well.. they too want to keep their money, or to take your money, right ? So...

Even the actress from the Mulan movie... can... change her surname, into Japanese, and inter-change it from Hans chinese... and registered, by some "Godfather"...(I think it is her father).... What can you lose ?!!?!....!!!
