Normally when somebody is outed.. or that a change of management happens... the ones that left, are normally rehired back in some forms or other.. So that the legacy continues.... Cos this .. leaves.. well.. it basically means that lives, or customers are put at risk... Sadly.

You normally promote an MBA from within.... or an engineer to do an MBA .. not the other way around.... This is pure manufacturing.... (And the old ways of doing things is that, when one leave, then the other person leaves, and go into the supplier's company, to ensure that it still happens.... and you try and find a recruiter that tries to stick with you through thick and thin etc.) Well.. that was how things were done in the UK side of things.... Cos people just go to their competitors..... Not this way. Really. Don't cut yor nose to spite your face. Same with pharma. Same with food.

Capitalism only existed in the last 20 odd years.. it ramped up... imagine.. in the past.. you had airlines like Cathays too... and marine engineers as well.. So both sets of engineers... You wouldn't find that today. Cos even then.. you also had GE on cars and mobilities... etc etc etc. And today, we think more about computers, than mechnical and electronic engineerings.... So many robotics.. and yet, we may seem to be spreading the engineers too thinly too imho.

@hx5525 : When engineers doesn't have the final say... then what happens is that management reshuffle the tiers.... like GE, they would "publicise this"... as in..."we have now told the entire world about what we are about to do, and that is your job role... so don't embarass us, and do something else completely differently".... etc etc etc.... THAT was how things were done before, til it kicks in the understanding.

How can QA not realised this ? This is crazy.... so the test pilot realises this... but then the QA did not get this feedback ??? Is this a joke ??.... So how come the FAA doesn't know ? Cos even with their supposed supply-chain processes, should've been able to pick this up though. Like, QA from QA layers upon layers.... ... so that if something is picked up, once, then another tier can pick this up as well... etc etc etc.... So the FAA qualifies and test their processes and components? But doesn't the company have their own QAs as well ? As in when the receive in components, and test every single ones as well ? And then delay the bad QA items... etc etc etc ??... I don't get it.

GE never had this problem, and they don't allow their accounting dept run them as well. If they have to make tough choices, then they have to make tough choices. If they cannot get finances, or if they need to shrink, then they need to shrink. If they need extra money, then they try and find extra money. The thing with these kind of politicians is that, they don't try and bring in revenues by brokering deals with other countries. Or to use their American banks, and their dollars to leverage the deal as well... I mean, so many countries had to put themselves on the line too. i.e. they lose out, in order to gain. Meaning it is basically subsidised... in order to ensure safety... etc etc.

@kardy12 : It probably happens with Airbus too. But what they do, is to stop the airplane from going above, and maybe reuse planes again sometimes, and they keep track of this all of the time. And also have "on site " maintenance in certain airports etc etc. And use third party hangers etc etc etc. And also they kind of share... airlines and bookings too. Not that it doesn't happen. It does... and many airlines are indeed losing money, but they try to lose less... or to have overlapping journeys etc.

EU also charges a lot of taxes as well... so then they become actual... money for the airline themselves, in a roundabout way. It gets back to them in a way... That is kind of why it works. But you don't work, if you don't find ways to support it... Some of the charges from the airport is then to pay corporation taxes, and that taxes sometimes supports the arms' length entities etc etc. And it goes on. But in the USA.. people gets flights via their credit cards etc. How about, if some of those credit card charges, end up as actual... fees to add to the arm's length's.... entities that check these things... Then.... Cos Visa makes how much per year ? Some of their profits, ought to goes to the flight industry imho. Cos it does in Europe !

@Giggles56 : Well... this is the thing though... you need to have a certain percentages of errors and whatnots... So many wanted to pass everything, but engineering means that some margin needs to happen and to occur as well... And of course, a lot of pilots need to be trained in their own terraines etc... Like, the Alaskan ones, need to know the pressures of those regions, and whatnots. To train one, and to have a back up pilot or whatever... I don't think that people understood everything.. and they should also have unions, such that, employees could teach one another, and should be encouraged to learn each others' mistakes too... If you cannot speak about the situation IN work.. then go ahead and speak about it off work, or even metaphorically, and to analyse situations amongst yourselves. THAT is what I would do.... it may seem sly but...
