You have to understand how much people feel unjust.. like, we paid off our house.. and was and had to be forced to pay inheritance taxes AS well... and then sell our house to developers to regain back another set of debts. Which we have to continuously PAY for... So who owns us then ? We are no longer soveign to the city that we are the indigenous people ?... Even though like, 200-300 years of legacies? .... So where is our Human Right's records ?..... Oh, I forgot.. UN in recent years, declared us as "indigenous"... Huh.... I went from knowing that I am Cantonese, to become actually a tribal indigenous individual. Even most people in SE Asia... know who they are. Capitalism. Wonderful. Money that you have to pay and repay and pay again and repay again. Against yourself.

@sumonechan8514 : It was unpopular because it's not the descendents that are living there.... Normally... If you are indeed the descendents then you rent your elders and their way. Why would you use all your salaries to raise your elders in care and hope to inherit ?.. Which model do people want to go ? I gave up my bed and my room for a maid. We paid around almost quite a high salary. People like myself and my mother paid like 1000 pounds. I think it was. Not pence. But pounds. For a dead salted fish. How much and when we people let go ? Consolidate. Not over expand. Enough.

@generalx5220 : That was because the land was connected to the financial system in HK. But these people don't know that. And they don't trust their words. Instead of communicating properly.. and say that it will crash it. They went ahead anyway and it did crash... So.. who do not recall the Asian financial crashes ?

Life was not completely great even then... There were a lot of murders too.... And uprising... Cos people does not know how to speak to each other. Or who owned what.
