@taitslong3417 : You know... for a city.. that keep saying things like..."It is following British laws"... Well.. British laws.. say about "racism" is... "It is considered as racist, if somebody is not given an opportunity".... So therefore.. if these individuals were already given the opportunity ALREADY... and yet, their standards did not reach whatever expectation from employers... THEN.... what is the issue here ?! There is NO issue either ! You cannot employ EVERYBODY from the non-Chinese group to be into the ENTIRE company, so therefore... there can be no work for the local Cantonese either ! Can you ! For a 8 million city.. you want the entire 80 000 people to be in the police force? To be in the education sector ? To be the financier ? I am sure that, I have already seen like a non-chinese policeman already. In fact, some local cantonese and venting on Facebook and ranting already. Cos they were never given THAT opportunity.. when they were in their 20s.... And now they are in their 40s !!! They were FORCED .....to be doing lesser jobs... Cos of what was going on in HK. Imagine that. And now, 20 years on already... the entry requirement, has been dropped as well ? Before, it was a lot HIGHER... that is... the BEST OF THE BEST.... i.e. English (all As) + Cantonese (All As) + All As in A levels. + Degree = Senior leader or even team leaders. Those individuals... at that time, were chosen.. and they had to coax.. the local to accept them, cos their wages were a lot HIGHER than their own wages etc. And they had to negotiate to ask them to not violate the laws etc. It took 10-15 years !!!! (When they basically did is to ask them not to attack you non-chinese. That is what really happened ! And that was WHY trade continued ! And jobs were created ! Money came in etc !) And where did those people went to in the end ? They were forced to leave the city too. Many after 1997 had to migrate into the UK with their measley pension pots. Whilst.. you guys enjoyed everything that OTHER PEOPLE WORKED HARD FOR !!!!!!! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT OTHER KIND OF INSULTS AND TRUTHFUL WORDS COULD AND SHOULD BE SAID NOW !!!!! Those families.. their kids are probably earning pittance.. than what they could do now, in those financier jobs etc. Or to even be a fisherman...(which apparently, NOBODY is now DOING. COS EVERYBODY IS PEEVED OFF !!!)... So now it is a stalemate !!!! no food entering the city. No supply chains. People rather rely on import goods ! Tinned food ! THAT is what is going on !

Nope. The languages in HK to learn is Cantonese. But for SOME odd ball reason.. these so called "international economic migrants" are accusing the local schools and the local education board.. of not "teaching us enough to do a job"... Er... in reality, they want to speak "mandarin" or whatever. Cos THEY want the number one goal, which is MONEY. And often, they do not spend the money in HK either. They send it back home. So therefore often creating an economic bubble and situation to occur as well ? This is why they play this kind of politics... and use these kind of international media outlet for their own gains ? And people say that in HK, there is no democracies... Er.. they are treating these foreigners VERY well.... (FYI.. the article stated clearly that THIS single company.. IBEL gets around half a billion HK dollars... for how many kids? I bet the other local kids do not get this much in terms of budgets either !!! ) Do you see HOW the locals hate or starts to hate the other so called refugees or migrants, or foreigners ??? Cos frankly.. this is also occurringt too. At the very same time. There is a lot of the previous generation's elderlies that has nothing now.. and they themselves cannot handle anything any more either. So... This adds on top of everything else AS well....

Which is that, a lot of the educators are so scared of Westerners and non-chinese now.. to the extent that.. they themselves are scared of losing their own actual salaries.. and their lives.. cos they know that this will end up in court.. and it will escalate to the highest of courts and be prosecuted for it as well. I don't see ANY Teachers in the United Kingdom BE prosecuted for "not teaching properly" ? At most.. and at best.. they are struck off. Asked to do admin. Or to take a sabbatical. Or to try another school, or go part time etc. But in HK.. with such a small pool of people.. WHY should HK spend MILLIONS OF HK dollars.. Millions.. of it... to support a SINGLE child ?! This is insane ! Unfair use of taxpayors' money ! The MONEY.. that is SPENT... could buy that child, a place in their own home country.. and afford their educational from childhood INTO the entire university level already !!!! Do you realise how much money is wasted like that ?! LOOK !!! Elderlies cannot find the healthcare professionals that can speak cantonese to them to help them stay active and do physiotherapies !!!! Physio is NOT even actually Traditional Chinese Medicines ANYWAY !!!!! They ought to be doing tai chi.. or gentle movements and exercises to eleviate their blood flows !!!!!

He is supposed to be the elders that others look up to. Instead.. he is saying and blaming the children as well.. and he is claiming that there is a lack of benefits.. despite his company being in power for more than 10 years.. and ended up with bad results.. and now he can go to the papers and shout out about that etc. Oh well... !!!

@hannesRSA : I had to do that when I was a child. I used to get nightmares actually when I first came to the UK. My sister used to sleep walk. I used to "think in dual languages" until it was many years later.. that my anxiety subsided.. and my mind settled... etc etc... If those children are aware.. their parents, ought to discipline them or something. Same in the UK now. I often.. encourages.. kids... and their parents often do an extremely over anxiousness. Especially if the child does not want to learn.. cos frankly, they pick up on what you say about them. They too have pride as well. So.... There are so many places that parents could take their child, but they don't... libraries... local chiense cafes or near their own actual council blocks... Extend your arm and others would do the same too ?

No... why should kids in Canton.. not speak Cantonese ? It is like saying... If HK had a King... and then you are forcing the King to kowtow towards the OTHER Kings in the mainland. Are you NOT making a mockery of THEM ? What ARE you doing then ? So when the King's civil servant tiers.. that went to the USA... (All the KMTs' army leads and heads...) If THEY are not being looked after now... Then... In some of the local chinese newspapers.. and hearsays... a lot of people are saying that, HK has sided too much with the West... and at the same time now.. The game has been flipped upsidedown. "Mandarin" was made up in the current modern generation. It was a regional dialect.. and because of the formation of the UN. People... collectively.. and stupidly.. are making it into a "this MUST be the imperial language"... and whatever whatever lies they want to follow through etc. And as usual.. more people believing in something, then the truer it must be. Whereas if you see other civilisation. Islamic. Or European. They teach their next generation. The exact same thing. THE exact lineage.. and the SAME thing. SOME people say that.... HK's people are mostly mixed race now with many Europeans... but I don't think that is so. Not really. Cos HK has historical artefacts that dates back to the Song dynasties... and it is the locals that also refuses to accept a model with an Imperial King.. but it does not by any means of the word, ought to have a complete flat structures. So he is an actual "Cantonese-Nepalese" then... so what is the problem ? In the UK... if you live in England, you speak English. If you live in Wales.. and they recently changed it to Welsh... or Gaelic in Scotland... This is normal too. I can also speak "German, Spanish, Italian, English, Cantonese, ".... I have a degree. And also a Masters as well. SO.... why should they not have the same opportunities ? Why should this NOT be something that these people are doing ? Oh, I forgot... also French as well. I was and had to speak a European language for the better integration. So I have GCSE German. And then did sciences at A level stage. Is this why... @baruchlev2658 : Actually, that is not true about the USA... Cos the USA, is a relatively "new country"... by comparison to Europe. Europe is an old civilisation.... Whereas USA are mostly, what is classed as a "new world"... and is made up of many migrants.. including those from Europe... AND China too.... Let's be honest about that. California.. was also once upon a time, a part of Mexico. And around that time... actually, a lot of chinese were living there too. So yeh..... the world is far more complex than your assumption. (And no... USA is not just full of "white" people... far from it....although the current media, kept saying things like, "black people were slaves"... er... Only a few, but then the rest were actually... black owners, with white slaves. Because they were indirectly freed by policies. And then... the laws were not all explicitly defined in all states, so there were indeed a lot of hardships on white people too. Til they librated all races. There are so many second hand things in HK as well. How hard is it to get your child a cassette tape.. or even a radio.. or even a TV ? So that they can watch and learn ? And write what they think they are hearing ? "Jooo-saan" = Morning. How hard is that ? These parents do not correct the basics and do not follow basic politeness. That is why. Why don't they follow the basics every day and memorise that instead ? I always had to learn to say "please" and "thank yous" as a child. Otherwise my mother would scold me. So how come these migrants do not do that to their own children ? Shouldn't this be enforced at all ? When children act like adults... and then try to do adult things as well... Why should HK's budgets and things like that be spent on these continuous stupidities ? Why ? Why you complain about this.. the rest of the city has moved on already... and you would never be able to catch up. So then what.. you're going to stay at the bottom of the pile ? Instead of also following and trying your best to move together ??

@senyu1540 : So why don't you ask other people for resources, or book stores, and read those cantonese books? There are now karaokes as well... as well as Cantonese podcasts. What the heck do you think people are doing every day in HK ? Most kids would do singalong with their friends. And families would do karaokes.. at home... to perfect their own pronunciations !! It is like.. how much anger, and displacements, and moodiness... COULD you exert onto random individuals any way ? Do you think that those other parents... are and have actual time.. to actually look after their own child, on a full time basis ? Many individuals.. especially those white collar people, are doing hard work now, holding down the GDP and holding down the fort.... Accusation isn't going to gain you any more help. @Gossuarit : Do you know why they are not enjoying this at all ? That is HK hires many non-Cantonese speakers... that speaks Cantonese, as a second foreign language. Cos if you see even in this video.. and I have seen some ethnic minorities teaching Cantonese as well.. which is to support the diversity element. Their standard... is "tick the boxes only".. These children couldn't "jump" between the two languages and subjects. At all. They needed a strong bilingual individual to teach them. In the past... ethnic minorities actually go to the same classes together... in normal schools. It is not the fault of those citizens.... it was the fault of the actual ethnic minority group.. that asked for the funding, instead of joining normal classes. And then you end up with very frustrated kids. And then they turned to crime as well... cos they don't have the emotional bond at all ? So....

Actually, Cantonese both the people... (from that region, like myself.. and all the way from my grandfather's days)... plus.... the language... have ended up.. as bastardised... and even taken out of contexts too. I actually get harassed in HK.. do you know ? Why? Cos of some policies from before. So when I see an actual policy NOW.... stating that these migrants are put FIRST.... despite I .. people like myself is becoming extinct.. is beyond a joke? Now I get the feeling of the British as well... Cos they also did predict that this would happen too. And yet, so many Brits.. also do not leave HK. Why ? They don't leave it... and refuses to do anything about it.

And the "minorities" of people are actually the local ex-Imperial Cantonese... and not the existing group of "Hong Kongers", that are of different races. i.e. From Laos.. Indians.. Maybe the government doesn't teach it is because they themselves aren't even Chinese. Has it occurred to you that might be the case ? If this is so.. then why would they teach you Chinese ? What does it benefit them ? How does it benefit them ? The original Chinese scholars that still teaches Chinese are the old imperial dynasties... So yeh.. the country is not Chinese. Not really.

@rukia6090 : If you can get to 400 characters, you can live and do daily chores and socialise already. 4000 or 3000 is because as kid, adults try to give them everything and try to teach them everything in case when we past as adults then the heritages would be lost. So kids are expected to be doing this anyway. Some of it are also based on Chinese literatures which is not used everyday in a laymen way. So unless you want to become an elite Chinese politicians and references history all of the time and use old Chinese in an every day way.... I don't think you really need 3000 or 4000. Get to 400 or 800. Then pick up the rest like most people do. Which is using a dictionary. To expand. And you would always work in teams even when in a company anyway, but progress is just slowly edging things in. So.... Just to keep things together is important. The problem with HK is that the most educated people are leaving cos they don't agree with the politics. So you get a high turnover of staffs anyway. And I am sure this IBEL CEO is laughing his heads off. But his failing grace is that he was not active and did not participated in politics. He should've pushed his students a lot harder to also bear the burdens too and then slowly integrate with the rest of society and run a side online course this way. But doing his way ends up splitting up useful resources that could have been utilised in other ways for society. I.e. to protect the elderlies or to see through life and death together. Right now... I get that the ethnic minorities won't think about deaths. They only think about life. I.e. what I can get out of living life. Not what do I need to finish off and do before my death.

@mitsume_slay : 50 years ago... not everybody were allowed to go to school. The Imperial Civil Servant exams.. were for "elite families" only... Some of those individuals are left in HK.. and they were supported to enter the literary schools.. and they became prolific writers, and speakers.. and are part of the educational sector.. up until in recent years... THEY propped up the city. And now.. there is nobody following them.. to hold up the forte any more. So what IS the point of anything any more? Nobody got what they wanted from life. In fact, Cantonese is going to be a dying language. Which it IS already....and so many laws, aren't particularly interpretted as well... both keeping literary work alive.. as well as actual translation work either. I had NO idea.. that the Hans Character sets... were not used in the mainland.. or at the UN.... Actually. I doubt that many individuals in Singapore .... or even Malaysia.. would do that any more either. This is why, indirectly.. those who worked in the financial sector indirectly forces.. injustices and wrongly translated things into formal documentations.. and more.... Why every Western loves HK ?....(Cos you escaped ALL the Western laws, which is SUPPOSED to be enforced on you too ! That is WHY !!!! )....

He might have a single ancestor at some point. But if he married another race. In chinese, we say that "you have married out of the family" already. So... this is why... China does NOT recognise dual nationalities. (And that should've also been races as well. i.e. if you married outside of your own race, then you should not be classed as chinese.) Cos if you are to follow chinese ways. Then by right, he would've been executed by now. Cos he is seen as an invader. So.. how DOES this chinese culture NOT be accepted at all ?....

They were sent to work asap as a child. I bet THIS was never reported EITHER ! Imagine.. we did not even have computers just a mere 40 years ago... and now we have TV shows.. and everything at our finger tips... So these children, cannot listen to a tape.. and then to even mimick the sound? You could ! And this is HOW many individuals learnt as well.. I did that with Japanese. I had no idea what I am listening to. My friend made me a tape. I listened to it. I tried to mimick the sound.. and then I broke it down as well too... and then recreate it back up as well ! Many "ethnic minority" celebrities in HK did the same too. THEY did okay ! In fact, they got jobs as singers.. and TV presenters.. the list goes on ! There are a lot of materials from RTHK as well. Also.. because these Western firms and people, refuses to leave HK as well.. It indirectly drags.. the rest of the mainland China... into the tiny HK city itself. So the infrastructures, should NOT have been created AT all.... it should not have done so. So what the government did, is that, they wanted those foreign currencies.. and forced the local cantonese to move away from their own hometown and their heung ha.... By force, by coercion... and more. So I don't get what is the point of wanting these children to teach them anything, at all means ? For a Cantonese city, half the people cannot even speak Cantonese. Don't you think that the city is in financial danger ? Same with the UK actually.. Half the Chinese, don't want to integrate with the overall grand plan of the country to reach net zero either. And they just want to make their own little bit of money. Shouldn't people really deglobalise, at this moment in time ? Genuine question actually. I had no idea that.. with the social media now... When China says it is "56 ethnic groups/clans"... actually.. they are not ethnic groups... more like, they are 56 family clans. Remember that instead. Cos it might shred lights on why the PRC run the way it does !

@ireneserrano4570 : FYI.... "回族" are the actual muslims... inside the PRC. (And they have already been mixed race with Hans heritages.) THIS is why they are classified as "回族".... When the "right of abode" was written into HK's administration.. They meant those who had to work overseas.. that they could and will have a base coming back home. That has always been how it was interpretted. And not the actual foreigner traders etc. If this was not explicitly interpretted then... How could a city, that was quite prominent in Chinese history.. with the Emperor of the Song dynasty running down towards HK.. and then left a legacy and traces of his escaped routes.. only to then have the so called "modern UN" and the entire "globalists" agenda.. to mask away such histories.. and also legitimacies as well ? Funny then.. how come.. all of the music now.. is about "re-enstating back the Imperial model".... They call each other Emperor etc... Weird that. And yet, even today, the US and the various other Indonesian... Philippines.. and SE Asian dispora.. refuses to accept the differences between these small but prominent Kingdoms. Cos in Europe.. ALL elites.. are STILL counted AND respected as well.) They were not pushed aside.. at all ! For somebody like Mao... to ruin and to run over ALL the other citizens.. AND chinese... It is also a phenomena as well.. the less amount of Cantonese speakers living in HK... the worst the standard it would be ? So.... and people cannot learn the language at all... or, if at all ?.... In the 1980s.. we used to have great fantastic children that could speak fluent Cantonese. And then things changed slowly around 1990s... And then.. now that, people wanted to integrate with the mainland as well.... (some individuals deliberately dumb down the classes too).... So that they are teaching you wrong things.. in order for themselves to get ahead. So... There isn't even the standards any more. Cos frankly, i t isn't going to happen? Cos most people have given up. Cos they were basically betrayed and pushed out. So now.. nobody really cares what you teach. Sometimes it is about balancing... but the balance is now toppled. More non-speakers wanting to speak and to teach.. and the real speakers have left.

But they are not integrating... and those families often want to marry another chinese as well. So then they rather marry a Japanese (chinese. Mixed race)... Or that they marry to Singapore. Yeh.. it's like that. So... what is left ?

@ireneserrano4570 : Because some of these foreigners see the cantonese speaking people as communists, or militant people, that is why. And those individuals also don't tend to integrate with those others either. And they have their own business circles etc... And THIS is also why things are going wrong too. Whereas if you see what is going on in the UK. You can indeed see a mixture of different cuisines in mainstream locations.. and then more specialists in other areas etc. So...

@KJ-yises : Not everybody is allowed to go to schools ! Only civil servants are allowed to get an education ! So there is that as well !!! That was part of the Chinese history ! So I don't get why so many complaints. Cos some of the older ladies and gentlemen in HK are actually illiterate !!!! So how come the local older generations are not allowed to go to schools.. worked hard all their lives... only for foreigners NOW to have and to get an education.. and also then doesn't help society at all ? But drains them all of the time? Of their time.. and of their resources ????....

@PikaPluff : People have respect in other countries. They still claim their heritages.. and identity as well. So.... how come so many don't do this, and try to scam and go along with the lies ??? Why ?.... HK is an international trade areas.. via a formal commercial process. So how come so many "hawkers" are still here? Even after there is a dry up of trades? Why do people still live here, when it is a dying city and slump ? And you cannot get any thing at all... or to know how to get yourself out.. when a slump turns into a further slump... and people do not plan their exit way out etc. i.e. Death planning, and wealth passing onto their kids etc. Everything wants to make money from a city that has no money ? THIS is also another issue as well.

@PikaPluff : Yeh... the finance minister refused to a lot of the demands and spendings. So yeh... it is running out of local cash and budgets. So yeh. What the city does in terms of its commercial has zero nothing to do with the governing budget. It's spent up. Zero. Absolutely nothing.
