If you noticed, a lot of them seems to be Indonesians.... so can you see why, these kind of laws exist ?

@mizulightblue : I have never heard of HK having a blackout, since the power stations are so close by... So what is the meaning of this? One ban for the country, the entire region and everywhere gets the same treatment? When the PRC country was "still rising" from GDP figures... did people suffered like this ... like they did before ???.... Why is it so scary to live inside China ??? And I thought that live in Europe is bad enough... i.e. To pay heavy taxes.. and to have to continue to work to pay off debts etc....

@CX6998 : Why is it surprising to you ? It has always been like that ever since the 1980s and the 1990s... and people.. most of them are from Canton.. some were from Fuijian... they have always wanted to fight it out.. and be number one etc... So... And then, there are those so called "SE Asian oligarch's" money too... Lippo... And that Malaysian guy as well... I think it is VERY crowded...

@addminustraitor8514 : HOW can you be an actual "refugee" when you entered the city with an actual passport ?!!?!! You're NOT a refugeee!!!! You came from somewhere !!!! Some country. You're a citizen of an actual country !!!!

@stevenz9521 : It is so odd that this man says that... "imagine" this is what it is like... Actually, does he know that, many elderlies are also left behind as well... and ignored.. either both by their own children.. or by the societies ? Cos they cannot contribute in any way shape or form.. or give others money.... so many poor people in HK too. And they are ignored every day as well. So I don't get his point. Like, he has a higher priorities above those others? And often, those NGOs doesn't even cover those elderlies.. and the local homelessness as well.. and I bet you that, he refuses to acknowledge the other kind of competition and aggression that is currently going on in HK as well. i.e. Power struggles and legitimacies. Why should the city not function as a city, and itself relies on charities as well ? Lots of people just really just... flip buildings for a living. Does he even know where he lives? A concrete jungle.

@too4627 : Rich men. Or presumed rich men. And wealthy oligarchs. (But they don't know that it is debts. As in loans, that needed to be repaid back etc.) That is because they were never raised with credit cards or lived with loans for their entire lives.. so when they see money. They think that they have earned the money, rather than that they would be expected to pay it back etc... as a loan. They don't know how it works. And this boils back to the financial crisis etc.... And the country refuses to reform as well ???....

@willy_gooseling69 : That is what you think.... rapes, and also robberies have started.... and also money laundering... and more... The locals are not happy. And that they don't even get to eat local food or produces. And then... rents are too high. So therefore no decent pricing of food ? On top of this. There is no commerce except finance and the service sector, and tourism. Because of this... currently a lot of people cannot afford the rental. So they shut. And then those who cannot afford mortgages... rents... and some even local oligarchs.. and selling their lands, to release money.. in order to plough back into the economy. Some of the insurance companies, and various entities have leased out sponsor money.. to raise money for concerts.. in order to indirectly boom the consumer spendings. The treasury cannot balance the books. So they are now offering, or using the tax as consumption vouchers.... Cos frankly... the... city in the brink of collapse. So I don't get your point ? Try and read the local news.

Exactly.... and at the same time... the HK government... does not intervene, does NOT stand by the locals...and then... they even take jobs away from the locals as well. Cos they often say that "we are skilled.. and we are qualified... and this is our rights"... HK only came under the UN's Sino-Joint declaration.. but surely.. this has to end at some point in time as well ? Even if a country is in transition... SHOULD individuals...BE.. allowed to enter like this ? What has gone wrong with the immigration offices.. and gateway from the various countries? WHO is not doing their job properly ?
1
@Hkchinese888 : Because HK has a high tourism sector you mean ? And you hope that you would capitalise on that too you mean ? It needs to roll back ! And become a localised city once more. Like in the 1980s. There wasn't this much chaos then. And no money. Just a small village !!!! People needs to move on !!!

@anameidonthave7957 : It is not actually.. it says it is.. but it is not... Not really. And not actually.
1
@tomaccino : No wonder gang warfare was rife in HK.... I am so sorry to see this. I had absolutely NO IDEA... that this goes on and on and still ON ! Rapes are common. Prostitutions and various other issues are going on... and on and on.... This HAS to stop at SOME point in time as well !!!! Need to stop !
1
@tomaccino : If you understand Cantonese, then you know that the law does not allow you on those premises.. cos basically you are trespasssing ?? No chinese can have right of abode.. unless your parent is a chinese individual. Then it means an actual DNA test then !!! Frankly !!! The issue with the current set of civil servants and pratts is because they misinterpreted the laws... so therefore it is NOT working ? This is why... they now, reversed the law to even repeal against cantonese people who were also slaves/coolie/labourers abroad for the British.... Absolutely diabolical !!! Also, the other thing is.. they accept.. non-chinese... to be chinese, even though in SE Asia.. they are tribal Indonesians.. or whatever.. and do not have the same blood as the cantonese, or those from that city. i.e. NOT their descendents...!!! And THEY also want a piece of the pie too !!! Now, THAT is absolutely diabolical.. considering that the money there is meant to be from their own ancestors...!!!!

Why don't you look at the situation the OTHER way ? Which is that...."a migrant maid tried to provoke another migrant worker and had a fight"... How come, I don't ever read these kind of things from the HK side? I never reads it in English newspapers. EVER... ever. Why ??? SCMP is not an actual Indonesian papers.. or an Australian papers any more though either. So why does this exists ???? So... if you were the court.. whose side, would you take? Normally... if this was a UK court.. who did the ACTION... is the person who provoked first. If somebody happens to be white... and then yet.. they don't or didn't actually.... provoked the other foreign migrant as well... then.. it is the other person's fault. Yet.. in HK.. they don't even deal with such issues either. In case of what.... ????

@madsam0320 : Because there are no lands any more. Each time land is used.. it will affect the other building's prices. And yet... people keep wanting to use this piece of city.. as an actual leverage to their own finances, back in their homes. And they only do this.. cos they know that the special contract and condition that it is currently in. So.. instead of dealing with things in the right way.. even the government did not do things in the right way.. Cos they did not expect globalisation to also attract other issues onto their soil as well... These individuals.. have no place in HK... Why ? Cos the situation is getting a bit desperate as well. They're at risk either way. Cos there is like an energy ban... so some companies have to reduce their energies as well anyway... So.. why stay in a place, that is now 1) losing electricies... 2) losing food.. and local farmers refuses to farm.. bureacracies blocked food from local production, importing food is getting pricy.... 3) people aren't wanting these refugees or maids any more.. if they wanted to do business, then they should enter further into the mainland.. BUT.. the PRC also locked other regions too... now... So therefore.. they can't get past HK into the mainland anyway... They absolutely blocked the internal way. 4) Odd and weird criminal offences are starting to occur.. or maybe reclassified... so therefore... even if ... people could do things like they did in the past. They no longer could. Cos why? The internet brings both the laws and legality.. and also to spot criminalities in an easier way.... So.. I mean...

I learnt a lot from this lockdown.. not that I didn't realise what was going on.. I suppose I didn't accept it. Like.. not really... Cos why would any bank runs? Always? Often ? Cos people don't even stay in a single city to build it up? Why ??? So you keep running.. and the banks also keep running out of money as well.. and you keep printing ? I didn't know that the money inside China is all based on remittances. LOL.... That, is surprising... despite with SO many qualified individuals ALL across China.. and it could still actually ruin itself like this. No wonder they locked down their internets.. cos people don't know what to believe any more. What is true or false. And doesn't know how to get out of the situation either. etc etc. No wonder so many netizens write.."HK is a blessed land".. of course it is ! With so much foreign currencies FLOODING into the city ! Well.. no more now.. cos even the foreign banks are running out. Only China.. has more money.. holding in its own hands.. than those.. printed. Or ever acknowledged as printed by foreign banks. LOL...... You have to give it to China. "Why do you have my money ? I didn't print that one. Why do you have it?! "

Even the "rich oligarchs" recently.. have to endure and experience a black out... cos why? The trade deal issues with covid.. is affecting each countries' decision making... and now... people are trying to save electricities according to their own countries... and... well... This is why sometimes you have to have an actual quota on things... cos right now... The city is in an absolute mess...
1
@Hkchinese888 : Only in the Western side.. the country is so large.. each region, needs to focus on their own goals.. so I would not wade into this one in HK. It does not have your name on it. Trust me. People are already stabbing one another to death !

The reason why people are running towards the UK is because other countries have economically collapsed... but.. they also don't want to reform either. i.e. They can reduce their own export level.. and revert back to a country with an internal market.. and raise taxes and things like that to STAY inside the country. And control migration... which equates to controlling cash flowing out of the country. But of course, theyd on't want to stay and do that for the rest of their own lives. I mean, who would? But in the UK.. people do.. and they make sure that everybody does. So then the rules and the laws are stated clearly. Similar to Japan too. People stay and they do as well. They even merged their companies together as well....so thent hey knew what they had to deal with. The only problem for Japan is possibly.. not able to balance a generational thing. For HK.. there is a mega big issues.. like... they don't re-enforces the laws. They misconstrue the laws to a large extent as well ? And everybody does not agree to the same thing. It can work as a remote financial place. But the government doesn't reinforce this as well. And they also don't control birth rates as well. So those, even those who were transient... ends up indirectly with a HK SAR passport. But why ??? They didn't solve this issue either. And those banks.. some of those money are or WERE from overseas' chinese ! Not the "migrant who happened to be born here".. Do you notice that they don't have a great future, since the people protected their money by creating a trust already ? So there is no work or money for them? But they don't know that. Yet, everybody who COULD read Cantonese KNOWS IT.... and READS IT... and TOW THEIR OWN LINES....

There are now far more "charities" in HK... than there are actual businesses.. and so many cantonese chinese.. have literally left the city.. either gone abroad.. and gone over the border into the Greater Bay Area.. to ignore those people.... and literaly hold onto their assets.. and never lease them out.. or to give them a chance. THAT is what is going on as well.... It is also funny that Carrie Lam got banned from the USA... on this situation... and on her uncontrollable... stance..... well... A small city that tries to be local.. when there had been so many global players... who is now stepping on areas that isn't theirs to deal with.... USA is actually indirectly eradicting chinese people as well..but they don't know that. Cos why? The software didn't translate properly.... If anything, it probably helped some people end their own family trees and their powers.. over others. As usual.. it is about powers.

@Hkchinese888 : If you listened to the video. The guy said that HK is exempt. You need to remember that, HK might have had that under its cover, when it was under the British. However, the Sino-Joint declaration was signed. So this makes HK into a different kind of city altogether ! Under the British.. even the Vietnamese were refugees.... (Despite, actually... southern China.. and some Vietnamese are of the same race!)... This says a lot more about the standard of the translation of the people of those times than anything.
