It's true... cos it is a hot climate kind of place... and they don't necesarily have the air con inside their rooms. So they might just die in them.. to avoid that, they sit outside... and stay outside instead. Some people live and sleep in the local park marble benches cos it is cool and it is nice ?...

@MMCat7732 : You have to admit that over the years, there had been people coming and going from SG... don't you think ? And we are now in 2024... a lot of things were not built back then..... so...... I mean, that is just history. Don't you think ?....

This kind of thing is also why foreign investors and overseas people like us from generation to generation are withholding too. And fight back.... Comfort level can be achieved easily. So could the wealthy stepping out in order to revise the situation which is what people have in the UK etc. financial products that could guarantee these individuals and their futures or the situation can happen too. Like most countries. It's not hard... People are losing their humanities and their soul...

This issue was raised many moons ago.... cos they let open the borders.... and I am starting to see some comments too online. And some articles are badly written as well... Anyway.... People are forced to be nomads.

@MMCat7732 : Whereas other countries, try to keep their boundaries in terms of finances.. as well as political borders and respect each others' boundaries.. and laws surrounding those areas as well... What and how do you see the respect from SE Asia ? Cos I don't see it right this moment... Why is HK being pushed to this kind of situation ? Why put "UN laws" into "local politics" ? And why are "Local SAR government" trying to fudge the "international finances" into the fold ? And also.. I have seen,.. on Linkedin as well.... A MBA holder... trying to "force American laws, and corporate laws, into British corporate law boundaries and borders".... EXACTLY how does THAT work out ? It does NOT. It is not legal.. and nor compliant. At all ?... When the shares of those markets drops.. and fall apart.... cos people and individual still forges ahead.. You know what will happen.

@LoC28C : The property developers exists is because communism was happening inside the mainland... and that is why so many individuals ran towards HK and grabbed those land. Canton had actual banks, and it had an actual political centre too. Cos of criminals.. running away from their own enemies...(which , even today, they are called "entrepreneurs"....).... So that is why HK became what it is today. But at the same time now.. those "who made it rich".. is now suffering too... quite badly. Some were prosecutd, cos they are accused of fizzling state money.. or the mainland had an actual "take down the landlords and the wealthy" law... Which is now.. being implemented inside HK now.... which is super scary. This is why in some cities, you could see literally... a child's piece of sweet or food, could be taken away from them by an adult.

They can change the interior to match those of the current highest level in the world. Google easy hotel. It's great. Google Tokyo capsule rooms. They are all a lot more comfortable anyway. So.... If people wanted to, they could. I feel like there are some kind of stuck ill feelings.... People are hurt. Either way.

@stevenhenry5267 : Apparently, they have used the WTO angle.. to manipulate the individuals that lost their incomes and banks, and such likes from the past.. and way even before the PRC creation as well.... cos they see it as an extension of their own rule ?? So therefore... people are now being "socially assessed" for the past bankrupcies. So instead of liquidating, which is a formal process. Or to regift back.. which was based on word of honor... etc etc... So many individuals are not doing this correctly. So now, people are being "caught"... inbetween... and with the WTO loans and money, people are being caught out.. or that they just run off from their own companies, but without an understanding how to formally close them etc. It is weird what is happening here.. cos here in the UK, the bank itself would have all sorts of formal processes as well... to either not to loan you any money to begin with, or to actually.... do whatever... It is so odd what is happening.

Your comment is very splitist.....imho.

You need to remember that in the UK, we already have sophisticated financial products to deal with situations and scenarios already as well. On top of... People decide amongst themselves for an actual situation as well. So... This is way too scary either way ? This is why global trade happens.... And mobility. A question, what are the contributions that refugees are giving to HK ? Even as I live aboard, I am contributing via taxes... Heavily.. to schools.... We cough back up what we earn. Families help back families.

HK was a developed state, or city state, when it was under the British commonwealth model... with its own extensive banking networks of other commonwealth countries. But it stopped being this, when it tried to become an actual IFC... with its own UN level financing.. and to increase cashflows of actual.... banks. To make it fluid. But then, this doesn't work out, when you also have a big and large local government... actually... that conflicts with the banking aspect as well.... so...and the land was owned by the oligarchs and not the actual government.. or to be bought and sold.. so this, from this angle, this is actually confusing. It is neither a bond to be borrowed against, or even to be depreciated with... and then it isn't a personal wealth... It conflicts between two areas, which many countries and financial centres doesn't have. And SCMP did not used to be a newspaper either.. it was related to some trade only..... with shipping...

People are becoming socially psychotic as well.... Money is a tool. You use it to make it work for you. Not to use it to fight globally. 1 million people in Europe is a country already. They don't live like this. They literally help each other save resources and fight together. Not like this.... All of this "I will help"... But not helping is just... And most people seem to keep a lid on things to stop mass mania from occurring again... So why allow more people into the city ? This is why you have laws for.

This is enslavement... economically...

@alantam8520 : That is because it is inflation... and SG had always been competitive... and often, they don't think about their neighbours either. So... Some people had rights, and they don't even know what those rights are, or why etc. The laws are in place, and it should've been separating them as well.. but they did not do that. A lot of immigration came in through... when it shouldn't. Not really....

Do you realise that her shock.. us now a normalised feeling ?.... It is not healthy.. to literally do things this way. HK sar government should have an overseas holiday let. To "unbrainwash" these families to have at least a decent level of comprehension of how the world is... We ... Those of us from overseas know how we are.... And the foreign investments isn't coming. This record also damages global relationships too...

Why are they doing that ? Who authorised this ? The local court needs to reverse this situation privately... I remember that I had to give up my bed for the maids as well... For when they looked after my grandma and I had to help out with my families too... In their gardening for a veggie patch as well as actual studying and more. I never realised that so many have cushy jobs and cushy lifestyles.

That is not what they are saying... they are saying that, when Britain had HK as a mere Commonwealth country, before the entire whole "international financial centres" and before the various land developers and holdings took hold of HK... It was a lot more bearable.. even then, the civil servants were NOT as powerful.. and NOT as big.... and they worked for the people, underneath the framework of.... a city, instead of... a globalised city, with a financial centre, like New York.... So... should it BE a New York ? .... Question mark. Question mark. Cos it is neither here.. nor there... now. Do you know what is happening at this moment ? The local government is robbing international finances for their own benefit... and as their own local salaries.. hence why the sanction happened. And not, with the Art. 23... it is actually a kind of UN/WTO level policies, which SHOULD NOT... actually exists.... cos the political structure is not formed properly yet ? Cos PRC isn't properly formed ??? If PRC exited out of the WTO.. and revert to some kind of local running and format.. I think a lot of people would feel a LOT better... and not forced into the current situation. Cos right now.. it is trying to "reform continously"... without any regards to the WTO level laws.. or the UN level laws.. whilst keeping hold strongly of their defined political framework etc. This is why it has gone into the current mess...

You are right to say that this is "not democracy"... cos.. frankly.... nobody has a say... and right now.. the "high level laws".. are being applied to individuals who did not participated in crimes. Cos .. just cos somebody else took a decision elsewhere and formalised this, without any authorisation at all. And now, the scapegoats are found...
