I remember that when I was a child... we had things like Railway cards as well, or family cards. And children transitted for like a single pound. And yes, freedom felt goood. What this video did not cover is that... when it was indeed privatised.. a LOT of the money, was not necessarily ploughed BACK into the public sector. SOME pension pots.. or SOME pensions from like Canada's teacher's pension fund also added to the Stagecoach's investment strategies ! Now... are our tickets that costed around a 100 pound PER pop... really based on the costing of that ticket alone, or was it basically subsidising the Canadian's teacher's pension pot? You tell me. This is why people are PEEVED off. Alas. UK is a gutted country. I don't know what more to dispute really... Watching this just reminded me of how many refunded tickets that I've not received back from these rail companies due to missing trains, or missing tracks etc. And the icing on that cake was a 5 pound electronic gift card !!!! I am sooo annoyed.
