  2. I think that this video just shows us the differences in culture really..... For the West, US, UK, EU, we talk politics socially. More like..."what is happening, and do I need to change school. Do I need to change my mortgage, what do you suppose is going to happen to the interest rates ? Is there going to be more privatisation ? Is inflation going to go up ?" ... We call this the "Free Thinker" philosophy. And then there is the other opposite, the Eastern culture. Which is a lot more about responding to the person whom you need to focus on, and their relationship towards you. And trying to assess if their relationship, and position and role in society, in relation to yours. i.e. Daughter - Father.... Teacher - Student.... Elders-Youngsters. They always use something along the lines of..."I am not worthy"... to raise the profile of the opposite person..... So if you are the younger person, pretend not to know, even if you understood something, still pretend not to know. Or, if you are an elder person, always pretend to preach or to know more... And the younger person always pretend to find it curious and fascinating. Noticed how the teacher downplayed his own students ? In a way to herd his group, to focus on the walking, and not to play and be offensive. That was a signal to his student to tow the line... (Cos this must be a school trip.) In the UK, we have this too, to mind one's Ps and Qs... but there is a phrase, "time, manner, and place"... There is always a time and a place to say things I suppose.
