@Addified : Fructose needs to be moderated as well... Cos fructose.. excessive amount of it.. actually harms your liver. Your liver is the body's main actual filter. Wreck this... and then you won't have a body at all. This is why people then appear obese. In actual fact.. they are not obese, than they are clogged. With a digestive system that is clogged.. what do you do? You should unblock it. So how do you unblock it? Fix the liver first ! By not consuming as much fructose.. or solid fats.. Use liquid fats.. and more vegetables as well... Which flushes the liver through. Try vegetable juicing which works well. And then slowly adopt a simple meat and two veg meal plans. Over-processed food basically contains too high a concentration of a typical fruit or vegetable. Cos they create those items by taste.. and by formula... comparing that to a natural item... The natural item often have a lower amount and a lower quantity of those exact vitamins, or minerals... This is why the body's metabolism is broken when we consume too much of that. It breaks it.

Some of these "ultra processed food" items are often re-processed even when people buy them. So, for example... a ready made meal. They are cut down to size, and pre-arranged and cooked first time round. When you get it home, you re-heat it. Some people try to recook it along with something else. If you count the number of times that you have processed the such items.. to the end point of you eating that item.. it is like 3 times already. If we want healthy, we should just cook it ONCE. Not twice, or THREE times ! From fresh > cooked. Done. At the very least, you will still be consuming some of the nutrients.. but if you cook it again... basically, heating basic food under pressure... you are already transforming the molecular structure.. and the molecules of that food item. It no longer represents the food item itself. So you are basically eating cardboard at that point in time. I don't think anybody has ever thought of it like that, have they? By the second time you process something... the water contents are reduced... and fibre-like are left... And then take that to the third time... Bingo ! Gone. Why even bother eating that ? Sure.. we need to break some some cells sometimes to consume it better cos it is easier for digestions.. but do you exert heat to it first ? I rather cut it into shape than to use heat to break it down so many times...

@chazwyman8951 : Bingo ! These food items have concentrated amounts of so called "nutrients"... and indirectly... whether intentionally or not... Causes addiction. By that, it means it triggers the dopamine effect inside the body. Rather than feeling satiated. You would feel a rush of sugar to the body... and this yo yo effect is not good for the body either. I've been there before.. and it took me a while to wean myself off it. Lots of dark green veg to detox the body, and then slow basic proteins to balance it off. Lower carb.

@kennethwayne6857 : That is because the previous generation suffered a lot from diabetes? Cos they were a rice eating nation as well. This is why now... many people in this generation is following the government's guideline to be "aware of diabetes"... They often show this a lot on TV. Same with some chinese TVs as well. They always talk of "the blood sugar effect".... They should diagrams of whether you are hypoglycemic or not.. cos it will cause your eyes to droop or your face looks puffy or whatever. They always talk about this. And then they also show the remedies.. Which is often based on some TCM elements. Some herbs in a soup. Which then, controls or help control... insulin. This is very well known throughout centuries though. Cos the Southern China is mostly a rice producing region. So of course they would pass on this info to the next generation. I would not call this "fat shaming". More like "diabetes education".... With many SE Asians being partially anemic as well.. and have blood circulation issue.. This is even more dangerous... and this is why the consciousness to focus on self help is there. (FYI... not everybody can get healthcare in SE Asia... some state benefits do exist. But most have to buy their own medicines. It is better to prevent, than to have a cure, right?) So.... This is why it is all over the TV, each day, every day. etc etc. Free advice. I've started to take things like quercetin which I can get from H&B whenever my blood sugar is high. I cannot recall what is the equivalent in TCM.
