  1. I don't call myself "BBC"... cos I have been visiting HK.. ever since I was a child.. and when I could. When this terminology was created by some media guys here in the UK. I disputed this.Before... when the census was created, I called myself "British Chinese"... and then when I saw that some individuals now use the media sector to marginalises me.. I changed.. I use the term "British Cantonese".. I am technically "born in the UK"... but I have been to HK and back for many many MANY years... I had the HK ID card.. I have been there when I saw my grandfather's house, being a wooden house. I had been back after university. Before 1997. (It was THIS kind of trade... and this kind of exchanges between the UK and HK.. that ballooned the actual... HSBC... we created liquidity and work for such banks.) I had a child ID card. I have an adult ID card. My surname is Lok. And I could trace the history and heritages for 160 years here in the UK. And our record in the HK SAR government is also similar too. My ancestors have worked in British governments, and now even in HK governments as well... SO.. when OTHER so called "chinese".... go "on and on and on"... about "politics"... and working for an actual.. "media" company. Speaking out BS.... that grinds.. Do they, or do they NOT actually.... feel a sense of idiocy ?... Cos frankly.. you are blasting your own great grand uncle.. twice removed. THAT is what YOU ARE DOING..... Stop and think about that for a small and short moment.

  2. It was a "short period of time"... cos what happened after that was... "PRC joined the WTO"... and even now... if you looked back at the old youtube videos... there was an "Asian Development Bank".. and even that, has gone and it didn't exist. That should've stayed. But that went... and now, it is a technology war.. Cos why.... China.. sent so many satelite up into the sky... and this is literally global "cyber warfare".... For the average mainland citizen.. they don't and never assume that, there is a wider world other than themselves? And my mother always said this to me too.. she had always said... "don't show your nephew those things, cos he would want it"..... She is right. That is right. And she is absolutely spot on. My mother.. of 160 years.. of "development".. Even when I say that, I am "British Cantonese".. some people do not get that. It means... I have both English blood running inside of me.. as well as Cantonese blood as well.. during the 160 years. So if I said.. "I do not support immigration"... does that not translate into Cantonese, or into Chinese as ..."we do not want you to come into my territory" ?.... Or a "I do not wish for you to trespass".... ???... If I want to do "business" with you.. then should you indeed need to "financialise something for the sake of something" ?.... US only wanted to help the eurasians. They did not expect the entire globe to participate in it. Stupid people.

  3. Foreigners liked HK cos it was booming and it had businesses. Locals didn't like HK cos it had gangs as money flowed through. But foreigners are often left out of the situation and we're more respected because they literally brought in the money. That is why it is a sore point. And now that the foreigner piece is not there. (Including disporas.) The over the border disputes have increased a lot more. Gang fights are no more. But everyday random fights have increased 40%.... And the police doesn't do much. Stricter laws now apply on daily life. (And that ties in with globalisation as well... so now, foreign companies in Western countries are literally just "switched on"... indirectly forcing and marginalising ther locals as well from a distance. But the locals doesn't know this piece.) Gazillion YouTubers are online netizens are now flooding HK too since it's now open to all prc netizens..... Basically discrimination exists. Lol.... Oh... Nobody inside China can talk about the real the situation. So then they talk reversal comparison in case they get their accounts blocked. Lol... It's a chicken and egg scenario.

  4.  @luciatheron1621  : All you can ever see... is the decision that happened to you... but then again.. we know that it is trauma... but then again.. you may not know the decision taken and decided on your behalf... for you.. by your government, or by some decision that you did not know that you signed up to.. and the obligations etc. So.... that is why learning about it.. is the best.. but then again.. even by the time that you are educated.. you do not know the impact or the errors or the future situation if you did take those actions... So it is forever ongoing.... Right now... what did Africa voted at the UN level ? To take side with China... And what is China doing ? Sending both arms and people into the Russian war.... And you guys still want to join BRICS ?... And to create a new financial centres? That is going to collapse.. all of the overseas' chinese as well... that are in the USA and in the UK... and the various other countries. It is no longer the people who took those decisions.... that lives there...

  6. Then why was HSBC still there in HK then ? The entire bank, needs to be removed, and actually given back OR absorbed into the RBS back then and be done with ! But oh NO... This was "not on" !!!!!..... RBS should have been reduced to nothing, and then be absorbed back as well.. into the HSBC part.. but instead.. it crashed.. and went under... !!!!! Is this some kind of "Chinese Imperial Arm's length order" ?!!?!?... This made NO SENSE !!!!!!..... It isn't THEIR money after all !!!... And slave trade HAD been abolished ! And so called chinese financiers, DIDN'T WANT TO get themselves OUT of an actual job ! And now, we have this mess !!!!.... And now, so called "family office" is being created. But why? If you have nothing, then you have nothing. Why should anybody give you something? Out of nothing ? It isn't your money. Reason why people trade, is because they are part of the family. But if you are not part of that family, then why should they give you the money ???... Some of the Scots are the ancestors of some of the eurasians. So why is HK government, now giving away the banks literally into remote areas of those rural lands ?!!?!! WHY !!!!!!!!!

  8. You won't understand HK... cos so many commercial activities have a direct impact on the economy itself. Both the loans that they carry.. as well as the actual financial products to the sector.. as well as to the impact on the currency itself. This is why, som eindividuals do not want, or desire.. HK to have "non-understanding background people".. to live and to work there. I can understand why, they want this. They want HK to become a NYC... some people... do.. but there is a danger... cos the rest of the world is already onto a specific kind of actual... model... and they have transformed their own country in order to stop any systemic issues as well... that is why freedom of movement was important too. But as usual.. when you have a single policy.. people tend to abuse it, to the Nth degree. Like... so many families and individuals in SE Asia is like that.... If you think about why the old colonies died out... as in, why the Dutch Empire died out. Why did the Spanish emppire died out. So... and the British Empire. Today, you have so called "indians"... calling themselves Indians.. but really, they could be part Spanish. But they won't know that. Or to admit it. And then, you have some Spanish people.. with actual cantonese heritages,, working against themselves.. and their direct communities etc.
