  1. I don't think everybody knows the differences any more... As in what merchant bankers do to what investment bankers do etc... Compared that to high street bankers.

  2. BTL shouldn't have happened this way at all... Cos the banks should have basically credit checked the individual as well. Even if it means getting another loan. That was what banks used to do. Even with RBS as well... Who got their knuckles wrapped. The credit debts that the rest of us now have to pay off in our lives because of other people's credit risks as well ?

  3. I think they mean that Kent maths teachers who overtook loans from UK high street banks or whatever and bought lands that they ended up not being able to sell at all....
