  1. Academic research is like this. A lot of researches that were done, are specific. Unless you were taught by their style and standards, you won't get it. So.... Just don't compare yourself. So.... Deviating from the norm isn't technically.... Supported.

  2. Go to a place where you feel is good. This organisation is an institute. It isn't technically a university, that puts the person first. It is fund based. So I wouldn't approach or use such an organisation, if you are not technically focused. There can be a lot of "research for the sake of research" here.. but this institute, shouldn't be seen as the "best if the best". Don't emotionally put yourself into such a position. See them as a company that needs to produce results. That is what an institute is. There are a lot of cultural misunderstandings, as well as mistranslation, missing contexts, and also work ethics too. I've had to use German research papers in my undergraduates before.. and yes, their write ups, and their papers are quite well done. Just do a lot of paper readings first. Ask for recommendations.... and see those old papers, and see if you could understand them, as well as to create good citations. If you don't like old research papers, if you don't get it. Then don't go to Germany. If you don't get their research approach, logic, or angle. Then don't go.

  4. India is the exact opposite and it's worst. Lol. They make more money than they do research. Cos it's so cheap to do research. Whereas it's expensive in Germany, cos you need to be strict and strategic with your money ?....

  6.  @winonayap2137  : That is why you befriend the librarian.. cos often, they know more about the research more than you assume they do ... And they can make recommendations. Or curate a set of papers, to guide you along. If you can't even past the librarian,then don't expect to past your supervisor, never mind the directors. Cos you're just going to deviate from that. Older universities used to be like that. Everybody within the university used to or had their papers published. Then they go onto other job roles within the university. Nepo ? Or maintaining focus ?
