For example, the ICAC was created. It checks the corruption level within the City. Yes, by right, it could operate like an actual local council, which we have in the UK. But it did not. It was quite a high level.. and later when he built up his educated (remember, the city had NO universities before)... groups of civil servants, then this is whereby he slowly transitioned to give THEM both a job, a salary, and also a way to reform and create a circular economy. The thing which went wrong, is for the wealth of HK, to be sucked into the mainland China. And this, even though this did happen... today, PRC does not 1) acknowledge this phenomena, and 2) does not even appreciate this. The sales going out of HK.... China, does not recognise !!!!!! Do you expect people to actually feel good about such comments? No. They don't, and won't. And so many of us, who and lived abroad, still buying chinese goods. Even though it means that it will hit at us economically.... The audacity of people today inside PRC. Really. If you are looking at a baddie... and a goodie... think about if you have been the bad person in the first place. What Pattern said in this interview, is correct, in a RELATIVE way ! He did not go into explaining, at which point in time, did documents were signed and so forth. Those of us, who WERE in that period of time, and lived THROUGH it.... only knows too well.. how it goes. Yes, talking about such things, seems to conflict with so many media/AI/tech companies in china.. and what they are trying to achieve. But still.... hasn't china transitioned into animation, video gaming, hostings, and FinTech already ?????
