  4. If there were not that many British-Cantonese speakers, do you think that the likes of Li Ka Shing would've helped Europeans at all? And how the heck did they bridge those gaps? And was it not Australia who "helped" Europeans break those markets into China as well ? Didn't the so called British-Cantonese opened up those luxury brands and tap into their markets ????   5. ​ @diesel92kj1 : It is funny that people say this kind of thing... but UK has its own taxation laws as well. And yes, we DO charge different tax levels, depending on which country as well. So don't assume that just cos you are a Brit... and ends up working in the USA.. that you could avoid paying for the IRS.. and the HMRCs as well.. And don't assume that, we are not going to chase you on this one. The reason why the UK got screwed up and we formulated into the way that we are today, is because non-Brits play and screws up from following the laws of this country. They don't even know how to structure correctly the business model. Just like... State A has tax A, State B has tax B. People don't even get this. They don't believe it. They don't get it. They don't even accept it. Same if you went to the USA.. oh sure.. open a small sole trading company... Which.. in the UK is different to the Limited company. This is why, I see online here.. SO many Americans.. can now.. take on several jobs. In order to hold down an actual..."salary" ?... Er... I don't care.. what misnomer has been happening here. Just cos Google, or YT cannot get their own act together, and make a digital product that fits the localisation of that country's laws, does NOT by ANY means that you are NOT at risk.. of being prosecuted... cos you have been basically money-laundering !! WELL.... the SAME can be said of American small "mom and pop" businesses as well. They don't even structure their own companies, to be proven and accountable. And file correctly to the IRS. (AND to the foreign country that they sell TO. Where is THEIR British tax filings ?! In the correct currency! Whatever happened to multi currency settlements as well??? Sorry, but exchange this before you sell. It is not the job of the buyer to take care of your exchange rates, than it is for yourself to exchange FIRST before selling to US !) I know, cos I used to build these computer systems to deal with these kind of taxation changes and issues !!!!!!! So I don't even get.. why FT is showing me these small time sole traders.. that wants to act like a continental business, but does not know how to structure themselves properly ????

  8. That is because they left the city or quit their jobs and want their pension pot but they cannot take it. Normally, you cannot take your pension until later when you are of retirement age anyway? And this goes to the same thing that happened to my father too in his generation... He worked all his life... worked on the ships and then had his own business... paid his NI as well... and then his pension went into one of the saving's bank I think it was Santander... And then the economic collapse happened in the UK. And it is funny for me to see that THIS bank now exists in HK as well ? How funny that even my account as a kid... ever since I was a child... from Midland Bank was absorbed by HSBC... and that itself was also gobbled up.. and I bet it has been transferred to HK as well. THIS is why HK is flooded with money !!! Frankly ! Always a case of "Robbing Mary to pay Jim". HSBC has now closed a lot of accounts during this lock down. Same with Santander as well... who closed up ages ago.... and merged and exited out of the UK... and merged with Spainish banks etc.

For those companies that already DID the deals.. and such like, they had pre-re-created an actual business plan. Made the loans, and then went ahead, like 3-4 years of planning already! Why do people assume that, there is always this "small shop keeper " mentality? Even if you watch Itsy... those "Shopkeepers" are already selling, and reselling amongst each other already. When JE charges around 25%.... and yet, there are stupid companies like that other one... which forced closures of small businesses. This is just a trajectory downhill. If it was not for Tesco, stocking some of the European items. Well... funny... but Norwegian salmon is no longer stocked by them too. I bet it has now gone to China. Via Tesco or other. Well.. actually... Tesco has now exited out of China too. Many foreign companies have exited out of China. Certainly the Japanese ones and the Korean ones as well. And Germany is now entering? WELL..... Considering that China has NO RMB market.. and cannot exchange that in their banks... I mean.. and yet, people do not try and catch out those fraudulent activities. Unbelievable.

I know that many companies, or countries literally figured out that, UK had actually had originally a LOT of Worldwide trades, and that our laws WERE a lot more robust... Like, how could that lady, even thought about using Thailand to resell back into Europe? When before we joined the euro... Literally... the likes of Unilever hoovered up our own local companies in the UK, consolidated, and expanded into most British Commonwealth countries for one, and even beyond. That happened. Well... if these people are smart, then they need to, and ought to, bring back up SOME of the people who should and ought to sit in those boards again. Cos what I can now see... sure.. why does so many items are literally... Well.. let's just say that, some of those companies are struggling globally now, which I know. They don't know how to turn back round that corner. To be frank, I also do not give a poop poop any more. lol... I did. And then I don't. lol.... One will always be the fall guy, if one speaks up. The problem that really took and clean out the UK is one of two things... which even I am finding out now. 1) The Syrian war thing. I just found out the campaign about "City of Sanctuaries"... Which is that, insurances were often based on averages of that population... cos of various genetics, or whatever of the group of people etc etc etc. So... and these are important elements to stand by. Why are women, often promoted asap... within the first 10 years of their careers traditionally ? That is to buy time for an actual time period for her to have a child. That is, also including... the differences and the various SOX rules too.

  30. This video is more of an actual retrospective video really. Cos the debts that people had is totally due to the financial crashes, and to reduce and to reverse that situation, but then again, the products and the companies around that time didn't exist.. and whilst you're on the run, you don't know the bottlenecks that you would come against as well. And it wasn't that.. people wasn't aware of what was going on, but their need to grab the next easiest thing to happen, had happened. Lots of people literally took out big loans to proper up companies. And even their own jobs. Sure.. we can say things like this now, but what was then , around that time of time ? Whilst staying in your job and being effective ? Esp in STEM areas as well ? I rest my case... Lots of jobs, sure. But lots of people also don't wish to be in those jobs either. Sorry.. but some jobs are not that important imho.

I have seen some of the Japanese tea leaf farmers... and they do use sophisticated machines to farm with. With organic, you do need actual good nutrients to farm and nourish the soil with?   39. @Dan : At the end of the days, the EU citizens actually have a different immigration status, compared to an ex-commonwealth. This is how the immigration laws are. Have always been, and have always been the case? I am like the 3rd generation now. And I am fine with this as well. My nephew is the 4th. His dad is an EU citizen.. and he is chilling... and is not fretting.... The problem now.. as you can read in this entire thread alone. Some of the non-EU members, are complaining , but then again... we knew that... it would happen, cos WE exported those jobs already.. Take the footsie 100 in London... Who does not know Unilever.. or the various global companies. Shouldn't those ex-commonwealthers BE working and gunning for THOSE MNC jobs ? What did you think that the ESG thing was all about ? Many commonwealth citizens did ended up working in those companies... and have done quite well too. It is the ESG aspect, that they NEED to focus on a lot more. I don't want to see THIS situation happening... I am 45 this year... my nephew is now Belgian-British (his mother is cantonese, possibly jewish-armenian, but I shall find out soon with a DNA test, and his dad is Belgian)... I see a lot of Iranians.. Muslims... Blacks from Africa as well... and then, in the city that I live in, I see at least TWO mosques... What I find weird, and odd is that... Despite many of us, being raised as protestants.. and went to church.. how come, the city that I reside in now, ended up with TWO mosques build in the last 10 years.. and THEN... my peers... also definitely married non-Christians.. and even turned herself into a muslim too. At the rationale of their so called Iman. This is the fault of those political parties... EVEN despite many people were NOT muslims... BECAUSE of the arguing.. people CHOSE to BE muslims, out of a lifestyle choice ? She is from Canton. I asked her how come she ended up here. She said that she came via HK? Now.. this should've been picked up a long time ago.. and yet, our Home Office ignored this. Cos they didn't have the competent employees to do this part. And her hubby? I don't even know why... Well... SOME people comes from Malaysia.. and ended up also supporting their muslim way of life as well. Which I find extremely odd as well. Cos most of these people aren't all from Malaysia EITHER !!!! So now... ? Now, there is no bank. Cos they all flooded their Islamic banking, or whatever style of loan sharking, you know the type... into the mosques.. so much so that... WELL... all the banks in the city closed. QED. The end. and in Malaya.. the people were not muslims per se.. they were a form of tribes from indigenous grouping... and it was never that strict of a muslim country before as well.. and it only happened in recent years. Cos this is one of those cases of, if you voice your opinion, then this is seen as an assault. IF you speak, then this is assault. If you do not give money to the mosque (hidden loan shark), then this is an assault... The list goes on? So.. if you say that.. these people are NOT skilled?... I disagree... they are extremely skillful. Just not the desire of the government. And now, they dominate the political tiers.. they dominate the taxi sector. The food sector. The schools. I rest my case. Even now.. they "beg" for donations... oh.. suddenly, they put online a HSBC bank account number. Of course. I am not going to donate! The previous slightly charitable setup, for the so called chinese community as well.. who has their budgets, and their own finances. Absolutely robbed. All donations from local small businesses just disappeared, and nobody is prosecuted or kicked out of the country... And now? Of course, these women shall never "donate back" those donations either. It will fizzle down some kind of family tree... Yeh, another article somewhere supporting Corbyn about how it was great at one point to have "these local communities and then we had a BIG vote and donation"... Well.... some people basically re-robbed back the money. It will be what it is, wouldn't it ? Do I care for politics? Frankly ? No. cos you cannot really police anybody. Economically it has collapsed. Politically it has collapsed. The end. I guess these kind of stories, are never going to be published in the mainstream media, will it? Never. And nobody ever say. And Google, and big tech, is going to call you out for "hate". Well... it is what it is. The end. Diversity? Someone from that diverse group will do first edit first, and retell it in another way. Police? Nobody will care. Life goes on. As long as everyone gets their pension. Then nothing to argue. Everybody agrees. It is still the case that, the social workers, or the local authorities will classify these individuals as "unskilled"... of course they would. The lady can run her own business now, and have sidekicks.. in how to do things... so why would she become an actual unskilled person, just cos she did not do a degree???? Funny how HMRC never catches these people. Or catches or checks these mosques, or whatever.

  41. As one lady said to me, "YOU were an immigrant ONCE !"... Damn right, I was. Sorry, I don't have those maternal-criminal-unethical worldview. Many lady members were so peeved off that they too stopped donating. lol... It turned from a "help the mommies" group into a "I hate what you did with those money" hatred... Well.. the efforts of many, fizzled away by a few. The end. Justice? There are no justice. And because it appears like a Malaysian town, they hoover up all Malaysian students from local and from afar as well. They all head towards here. For that student job, or for those bit of pocket money. And then the manager would fire the rest of the existing team. Find inconsistencies, and then basically accuse you of a lot of things. and yet, the local council does nothing. The police does nothing. It keeps the university in wages. The students are here. For a 500k city, around a good 20-50k are chinese or from malaysia... They are super aggressive and competitive and everything else. Oh, they also.. there is a big group of Indonesian too. They don't employ locals either.. but everybody knows somebody and they all work there.. or whatever... Rotation etc. Oh, also the Irish-Malaysian doctor helps them with their immigration forms as well... and then argues and files and charges them. Online Life in the UK tests are often cheated and faked... or helped cheated.. so yeh.. the entire supply-chain is there really. With a Home Office.. nobody catches the cheatings of the exams, and the continuous money laundering and harassments? They know somebody that worked int he BBC. Often shouts the racist card.. the list goes on. It is odd how the previous generation of Commonwealthers really are... Really different people. But those people have either migrated into Canada.. or died already. I don't even know who or what these people are. This is the only city that shouts a lot.. or have people shout at you for not speaking mandarin... (And that itself was only a made up language from the PRC and from the UN creation days. I don't even understand.)

  44. Companies had to do that, cos we were still trying to recover from the financial crashes.. So saving quite a few million people, is better than not saving anybody... So... And they held their own, to be fair... but it does mean that the rest of us also doesn't survive either? So it feels like everyone is equalised.

  45. Emerging market doesn't grow. It "sells" and then it actually most often than not, recirculates backwards... That is what they do. Goods move out of the country, and then re-receipted back in. SG and Malaysia is one good example of that. Somebody did a tracking experiment... into their stock, and saw a reversal of sorts.. So the same box could be moving round and round triggering the financial cycle. Basically.

It is not always 1 to 7..... Stupid... And it must not remain at 1 to 7..... You are making bank rubs. I.e. you are collapsing your own banks.....

Also, what is the difference to have expensive and non-expensive handbags... Have different qualities one... without accepting that the original contract that you signed, had an actual deal and condition associated to it ?   50. Some people still don't think that this is "immigration".... Even if they have actually nobody.. left in their own home countries. So no politicians and.. leaving a bankrupt state. And now using cheap East European labour is fine ? But leaving themselves to be politically vulnerable.
