It's really weird.. I live in an industrial city in the UK. Which was once upon a time, part of the steel industry.. and I actually remember this chat with a young chinese student as well... He was a student here... And then he finished. And he had the time to visit as a tourist.. so he came back ! (And this time round, he brought like a girl as well.... which I thought was super cute. He didn't say she was his GF... but we tried to converse in loose mandarin... lol.) So then... without embracing him.. we chatted.. and I found out that he also is from outer skirt of Beijing, where they had actual coal plants and productions. So then I said to him... "well.. when that finishes, new things will appear".. And he looked a little bit disappointed, cos he said it's very hard to change their mindsets. So I said..."the coals won't be forever, you have to change it"... And then I told him the city that we were in.. and how it changed from a mining community...(with a lot of back lashes) to become a more greener and sustainable city as well. And the smoke was gone. Even if you have the coal.. you cannot use it all up in this generation. I tried to say something along those lines towards him. So I said.. "you have to try, cos what is your next generation going to do" ?.... He kept nodding. And I could see that his friend was very quiet. I don't really know.. what was his future.. Would've been good to know what ever happened to him. I think I might have impressed him... or rather, he took noticed because.. you don't expect the elders to speak in a reversed psychology way.. lol... Maybe you're still the younger person etc. So cannot find a way up. Or something.

Everybody is very proud of their own cities. Which is very normal.. imho.. So... But yes.. the more you use social media.. the more you realise, how small a frog you are in the greaat big world !

In a way, it is also the fault of the world too. Cos we dumped every factory to be inside China.. and therefore polluted them. And then their own people ran away from their own very homes. If you think about it. Looking at this video.. This is what it ended up as... as well.... Well.. If there are to be trades. It has to be slow.. and actually, they need to hire in people to renovate back their cities instead. And not to do export of goods. They need to spend this money in their own soil.

@bonesmegga44 : But other countries used to smoke a lot.. it was a ban that took place.. and this indirectly forced them to become healthier.. and live til they are into their 80s.... My father smoked. I think his passing was around in his 60s.... Around 15 years go now.

ALL the SE Asian countries need to think about incest, and about birth control. THAT is what they need to think about.

The Chong Qing is actually one of the oldest city in chinese history. And yeh.. it could look like those old Japanese onsen as well. Which is absolutely beautiful. But, when they try to be modernised.. there isn't this kind of city planning thing going on... So it ends up looking weird... Well.. It's also kind of like the UK too. Europe... Some kind of "ultra modern" besides a "extremely old" building. You kind of want it to be just an old place, which has a purpose for society or something.... People don't use those old buildings, cos they want to preserve, but they want to keep it too. As a memory... It gives a purpose, doesn't it ? Lots of people do that for pubs in the UK.....

It's not a big deal.. They just need to add a big good filter in that chimney, and filter out the buildings, and then cleaned up those old buildings.. and preserve it. I mean.... Maybe in their speed to "build houses", they didn't have ergonomics considerations... Which is fine and dandy.. then make sure that your child continues then to refine it, and to perfect it. To me.. I could still see the old buildings and those grey and white brick work, which looks like a very old chinese academic temple or something. Which, imho is quite beautiful ? Chong Qing, was indeed one of the old imperial city is my understanding. So I don't get why they don't look after it. And yeh... it looks uber modern.. but it can be refined... And people running around is because of capitalism, and all of this globalisation BS business.. That is why. People don't slow down to think. They don't even stay. They end up moving away gazillion miles away.

@electronspark6740 : Don't worry.. Petition or put pressures onto the local government, and then to put a filter on those chimneys.. To filter them out or something. And don't waste them. Charcoal has a usage... So whether this is to use as an actual garden activator or whatever. And people should and ought to be in schools to figure this out. Figure the science out... and then change the pollution.. and then try and bring back better times. Well... this is the thing then... If the LEDs.. which is already low energy consumption anyway, just like Japan... Then, you need another form of electricities. Even if you generated some kind of waterfall... This small generation is also good too. I could see that, there is an elevation element here, isn't there ? So why not think of ways to deal and to slowly change things ? Baby steps.

@electronspark6740 : He means the moss and the algae in the river... Cos it is in a shadow position without sunshine, it does not dry. So Chong Qing must be a very humid city then.
