@crystal2484 : It is the same here in the UK as well....!!! Lots of people are throwing away their old books ! European ones. Even though they are reprints. Or only second to third editions... And many people keep saying things like..."it will be another version".... I also recently bought a book that was dated back from the 1960s. Not in print any more. Possibly has a copy in the library, but still.... I see a lot of stupid "paper mache models on Etsy"... that somebody made from a love story or a romantic book. They think that because it is yellow in colour and dated, that it looks more romantic. I couldn't bear looking at it.

Did you guys know that, this was the exact same thing too for HK ? And the parents went to work abroad, and then the kids and the mother would be left home. Some never made it back home. Some people were compensated by those overseas' governments... and yet, some not though. I look at that.. and I could see the exact "tourism" thing happening all over again and again. In the name of 1) prosperity and 2) economic advancements.... This is what the HK media was going on about a long while back... and even now.. lots of people just keep posting online about old buildings that were merely 10 to 15 years ago.. or 20 years ago... Lots of people, take out loans... and then they literally just.. buy out the whole town. That was it. And then.. cos they have no money... they can only but rely on tourisms to raise the actual GDP regionally. And then their mayor or their local government would literally just get bumped upwards. I don't even know what to say... Whilst in the UK and in Europe... historical buildings are preserved. And even if it was broken They only mend the small part of the broken part. Not to be taken down.. and recreated to rebuild as new. Which is what they did everywhere.. all over China. (So if you carbon date them. They aren't actually relics.) Maybe they do that, to preserve their legitimacies. i.e. "Future forward looking".... and there is no heritages.
