….VERY few (and very muted) calls….(And, even then, it took some of the most horrific, draconian actions by the CCP—over a period of 3 years— to even elicit that tiny gathering of “White Paper” protesters )…. No doubt about it : the Chinese —either through culture or conditioning—do not respond to even the worst suppression & abuses by their ruler the way people in almost every other part of the world would (almost every country has had its unarmed populace “rise up” against their rulers AND their ruler’s entire military for far less abuses than the Chinese have endured over the past 75 years)….They def decided long ago that they would rather “live on their knees—than die on their feet”….. Sad, but very true.

As long as he STAYS in Singapore, Xi wouldn’t dare touch him (having SING openly side against China—which they would if he tried anything in Singapore—is something Xi wouldn’t dare to risk)….

Not as long as he REMAINS in Singapore (even Xi wouldn’t risk angering Singapore—and THAT would do it)….I believe that’s why he chose a Singaporean publication, as well… The danger would be if he were lured to HK or China (but, I’m certain he’s well aware of this :)

Should be OK as long as he stays in Singapore. Xi wouldn’t dare angering Singapore (strongest member of ASEAN &?would be likely to turn the entire block against him)

He will be safe—as long as he REMAINS in Singapore (even Xi wouldn’t dare to anger Singapore)….And I think Liu knows it.

He is (as long as he STAYS in Singapore)….That’s one country that even Xi wouldn’t dare anger.

@louisgiokas2206 ….Yes, and most Chinese who have been exposed to other cultures often admit that they prefer them….BUT, rather than staying & fighting to bring such change to THEIR own country—they almost universally choose to “run away” to those preferred destinations if they have the opportunity (again, a VERY different pattern from the way other populations have tended to behave)…
