There is no other channel on YT that attracts as many CHINESE bots as DW (as this thread abundantly shows)…. Although subtlety has never been their strong suit, one would think that basic discernment would caution them that the average viewer is unlikely to become so defensive over a “bridge” built n a non-EU country….🤣

@buixote Oh, is that why we have so many CHINESE applying for US Citizenship ? The US State Department had to hire 120 new Mandarin-speaking agents to handle all of the Chinese that want to be Americans 🥳

Yeah….sounds like Chinese “workmanship” : Slipshod construction; cheap/substandard materials; and POISON the environment on their way out….

@goeast12 ….While I understand desperately needing infrastructure, so jumping on Chinese “offers” (even when you know how bad their reputation is for quality workmanship)—However, as for the Addis train maintenance issue, that is 💯 % the fault of the Addis Gov’t. They should have included the training of local engineers in the train’s maintenance in the contract. It is glaringly obvious that the Government neglected to consult with local engineers before signing the contract (the maintenance issue would have been flagged by an engineer immediately)….It is these types of neglect that give African leaders such a bad reputation I get a VERY strong smell of Government corruption in the Addis deal (when you’re really anxious to get your paws in a whole, lot of money, you don’t ask too many pesky questions:(….The African ppl MUST begin insisting on honest leaders. Corruption is a plague that will keep the continent forever poor….

Then the PPL of Montenegro should have paid for it themselves—or waited until they joined the EU and used EU development funds….What was the RUSH? (Kinda smelling corruption here)….
