  3. I have to agree with his assessment of himself —and can only pity the poor people unlucky enough to have been associated with him (At least he seems to have truly repented—and he left a priceless record that his descendants thought enough of to preserve)….

  6.  @brendon1689 You confuse the size of its economy with “success?” Average Chinese GDP = $11,200….70% of Chinese have not gone to high school…Despite being a “Socialist” country, no free/reduced cost medical care (most Chinese cannot afford a Dr. visit)….No welfare/safety net…. No….China is truly a paper tiger….It IS the cheap factory of the world, but VERY far behind the West, developmentally ….
