  1. 1:02 There is literally someone whose job it was to make the pen make that sound. There is a whole field of product design that just focuses on making it sound good. They make sure your vacuum cleaner sounds powerful but not too loud and annoying. They make sure your car door sounds satisfying when it shuts, but doesn't slam. They make sure your foundation bottle makes a smooth click when you pump it out, but doesn't sound cheap and hollow. Someone spent a lot of time and r&d to make that pen have that satisfying pop. They're probably very proud of themselves right now. 😊

  3. 2:09 This is called "boggling". It is something rats do when they are very very happy and relaxed. It happens because they are grinding their teeth together and the vibrations travel through their jaw and skull and cause their eyes to gently pop up and down. It is harmless, and a little freaky at first if you don't know what you are looking at, but it's similar to a cat purring or a dog wagging its tail. :)

  4.  @salaciousone  Ux sound design I believe. I saw a video about it a while ago and was fascinated. It makes perfect sense from a marketing standpoint. If you want to sell a premium brand of, say, perfume, but the user experience feels cheap: the sprayer makes a weak or inaudible sound, the glass bottle sounds tinny and thin when placed onto a counter top, etc, the product will feel cheap, even if it isn't. They spend a lot of time and money on r&d (research and development) and testing to make sure a premium product looks/feels/sounds premium. That click of a retractible pen needs to feel and sound just right. Often times extra thickness is added to the bottom of a glass bottle not for stability, but just to make sure it sounds and feels solid and weighty when you pick it up and put it down.

  5.  @nathannorthrenia8810  Honestly I was mostly joking, but this is typically how they deal with an object in their way that they weren't expecting. They try to shove it in a threat display. Obviously if it was a rock or a tree they wouldn't, and they can climb things when they want to, though I have seen some exceedingly dumb tortoises sit there headbutting a large rock that they wish wasn't there... 😂

  8. I feel so bad for that girl who was being proposed to. The guy gets all the sympathy and comforting and she's probably got a very good reason to say no. She's also probably humiliated and felt very put on the spot, because she knows people don't know the story and will feel bad for him but not her. I hope she is OK.

  12.  @deathberryjam907  Unfortunately backing away slowly is really hard on a bike. I think the cyclist did the right thing. He tried to continue his trajectory to show he wasn't a threat, and when that didn't work, he laid down. I can only hope he was able to get up and get away ok, because as soon as he gets up he may be seen as a threat again. Edit: watched the source video, looks like a road worker or park ranger or something came up in a suv to scare fhe moose off and serve as a physical block between the moose and the cyclist.

  23. The positive thing is that couple on the date is never gonna forget that experience. Whether they break up and it becomes "the worst date I've ever been on" or they get married and chuckle to themselves when they're both 80 about the time their boat got stuck by a fountain and how that's when they knew it was meant to be.... they're always gonna remember that.
