After seeing this episode a few times, this time, I will address a common version of American Christianity Detective Cox says, “Being the religious man that I am,” and sharing how he often “pray[s] for the victims.” Yet, his neighbors, whom the Bible instructs us to love, the Carrington family, describes Mr. Cox as being “rude…very rude.” So, maybe we need to rethink advertising our righteousness because the Bible says, “Let another man’s…[human’s] lips praise you” (Proverbs 27:2). And Christ, who is the foundation of Christianity: i.e., Christ-like is the definition of Christian; Jesus said, “When you pray…go into your room, close the door, and pray to your father who is unseen, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” (Matthew 6:5-8). Hmmm??? Yet another loop this viewer witnessed in this very baffling case.
