Diversity embraced and encouraged by a homogeneous group is a self-satisfying altruistic way of warding off internal, individually and collectively, homogeneously defined racism. Defining racism from an external perspective, of privilege and power, is as the old CSN&Y tune proclaims, “To sing the blues, you’ve gotta pay the dues.” They do not have a clue, and most accurately, or a desire to embrace change! Notice how the Harvard president preached the “inclusive diversity” message, and then swiftly resigned before it was implemented. And no, folks who were in place during this and the other mentioned incidents are not committed to change even if they are elevated to high positions. How do we examine this as truth: they were not asked or presented an ultimatum to leave. Get it???
