I pity his family members for their loss, but I am so not a fan of the man because I believe he had much more to live for. As the Boston guy said, "If everyone knew the consequences...they would not be excited." That is why I think he wasted his life simply by trying to impress others while destroying himself. I watched his father on another show explaining his dislike towards the NHL for the drugs that were administered to his son. I would contest that, I was angry towards his family for encouraging him to continue on in hockey, every since he was seen as a teams fighter, as a kid! Why would they cheer him on when they saw it was destroying him? Why cheer for something that uses your loved one as a means for making someone else wealthy? And that is what the NHL did and does, as well as many other sporting industries, to those who sign on the dotted line. For a FRACTION of the cash they will receive, the players salary compared to the leagues financial gain, the player's sacrifice is far more substantial, and this story proves this fact, because this time it cost this man his life.
