  1. This is sad. Though, I must say, if people are just realizing how the power of money shapes a professional sports league, I pity them. I would encourage any caring parent to install in their kids values, possibly by showing them the difference between sports being a fun activity and the profession called "sports," which entails an industry, governed by the power of money. Teams do not hire athletes to make them stars; instead, teams hire athletes to make the team, city, and state money. Period.
