  1. My parents taught me how to use one when I was 10 so I wouldn’t accidentally hurt myself or others out of curiosity. Before that they kept it locked up. Honestly, just being educated on what a gun is and how it works can save multiple lives.

  2. The same exact thing happened to my extended family, they’re white and were in a bad neighborhood. The father of the son who accidentally shot himself got 10 years in jail because he forgot to lock the gun up in a safe. The sentencing has NOTHING to do with race.
