@Notepad37 I live next to a retired cop. He’s nothing but a good man. My old neighbor was a good retired cop, he looked after everyone in the neighborhood and made me feel safe as a child. My driving instructor is a retired cop and he’s wholesome and non-threatening. I’ve met several officers at the different schools I’ve attended and they are very involved within our community, friendly, and enjoy hanging out with the students. Not once have they ever harmed a student. There’s also thousands upon thousands of videos and news stories covering heroic cops who save children, or help out the elderly. Claiming that a group that contains millions of people is ALL bad is ignorant. That’s like saying “all old people are grumpy” “all children like the color blue” “all adults clean the dishes” “all black people are criminals” “all white people are racist”

I get the movement, I really do. The system needs to be changed to prevent the corruption of cops. But finding a few bad cookies in a whole batch of decent to good ones isn’t an excuse to throw them all out and say “all cookies are bad” There are good cops, and there are terrible cops. That’s the nature of human kind, no one thinks or acts the same

@Notepad37 Okay, then call it 50/50, 40/60, or whatever percentage. No matter what there will be a good percentage of great cops out there, it just depends on where you’re located.

@Notepad37 What you’re doing is stereotyping big time. Yes there are bad police. Yes the system is corrupt. But you seriously think that every single person in police departments around the world, in every state, county, city, is a bastard? All of them? Millions of them are all bastards?

@Notepad37 Honestly, being in the psychology field in the police department would be kind of cool. But that’s beside the point. The movement behind acab is to bring awareness to the corruption of some cops, but it’s sad seeing people genuinely think that all of them are corrupt. And it’s turned into people wanting to get rid of all of them, which is making crime in those areas get worse

@torakokoneko You’re really speaking for hundreds of thousands of people around the world?
1
@torakokoneko ACAB means “all cops are bastards” why not just say the system’s corrupt instead?

Back then 10$ was worth almost 70$

This happened in 1979, a year later. He died in 1980
