  12. I’m no expert, but it does seem like the gorilla saw the child as one of it’s own babies. It may have sensed the child was not a threat and was trying to protect/help him. The shouting from the crowd may have also threatened the gorilla, so it may have wanted to protect and hold onto the child because of that.

  13. Just in case. They can be violent, and they had no clue if it would lash out and hurt the kid. But that still doesn’t excuse killing the animal

  17. Gorillas don’t like attacking animals weaker than them though. They go after animals they can size up and have a fair fight with. More than likely the gorilla was threatened by the screaming crowd and was trying to help/protect the child
