Racism against Asians has always been pushed off and dismissed, it’s unfortunate but true. Make a joke about a black person’s skin and fists are thrown, but make a joke about an Asian person’s eyes and everyone laughs it off. I’ve gone through it too, I understand your pain. As for the museum part, it’s important to keep the artifacts to remind us of the effects racism had against those racial groups. Same reason why Germany keeps it’s camps open as museums, they’re highly ashamed of what their country did and keep them as a reminder of how quickly society can become evil.

@davemoosehead8838 Racism is the belief that one or more races are inferior to another. An object can convey that very message by making that race look foolish or unwanted. Examples would be posters of black people drinking ink (saying that their skin is due to ink poisoning) exaggerating black features (saying that their appearance is ugly and clown-like) and putting black babies on an alligator food advertisement. It isn’t exclusive to blacks, since there’s things out there that do the same to whites, asians, etc, but it’s racist because those advertisements and objects targeted that one race and made them seem inferior.

Not really, if you hate everyone in equal amounts you’re good

Eh, they’re likely over 80 years old and on their way out

@alecfongy3175 Not completely? Gen X should be older parents right now, I feel like they're too busy taking care of very woke teenage children and their elderly parents to be spreading such negativity. Plus they grew up watching their environment change from hostile toward poc to diverse and welcoming. That's like 1970's and beyond where black people started to gain genuine respect.

@Allurin It’s 2021, it won’t happen again. Maybe it’ll happen to the whites in a few decades, but society’s advanced enough to embrace poc
